Paper Dome New Homeland Learning Park Introduction
The Paper Church during the day is adorned with fluttering butterfly shadows, and when night falls, it exudes a serene and warm atmosphere. The regular music banquets and art exhibitions further enhance the elegant cultural ambiance of the place. The design concept of the Paper Church is inspired by the architect Bernini from the Baroque era, who used similar concepts when constructing churches for the Roman Church. Shigeru Ban utilized paper tubes to create an oval-shaped walkway between the exterior walls, forming a corridor. The paper tubes on the inner side of the oval are closely arranged, while the spacing of the tubes at the entrance is wider. Upon entering the hall, the skylight streaming in from the ceiling creates a wonderful feeling of elevation.
