Tanmen Port is the most important gateway to Wang'an and also the main fishing port in Wang'an. It serves as a docking and transfer station for vessels traveling between the islands of Nansha, including Qimei, Hujing, Tongpan, and Jiangjun Islet, and Magong. It is a key stop for boats traveling to and from these islands.

Tanmen Harbor Introduction

Tamong Harbor is the most important gateway for Wang'an, serving as a stopover station for boats traveling to and from the islands of Nanhai Qimei, Hujing, Tongpan, and Jiangjun Islet, as well as for ferries connecting to Magong. It is also the main fishing port of Wang'an, while other ports like Zhongshe Fishing Port and Shui'an Fishing Port have gradually become abandoned or declined. The settlement of Dong'an Village, located southeast of the port, is the most densely populated village on Wang'an Island. The Tamong Harbor area is the liveliest and most commercially active place in Wang'an, featuring various service providers such as snack shops, ice cream stores, car rental services, and convenience stores. The gazebo area at the wharf is a popular spot for tourists and locals to escape the sun and wait for ferry departures. Next to Tamong Harbor, there is a streamlined building located in the southeast of Wang'an, just a few minutes' walk from the Green Sea Turtle Conservation Center; the facility has excellent amenities, currently divided into the Green Sea Turtle Introduction Area, Turtle and Life Ecology Exhibition Area, Seabird Introduction Area, and Nanhai Tourism Introduction. The harbor offers a great view of Jiangjun Islet and is a good location for watching the sunrise; various yachts and ferries dock here, and it is advisable to return to the harbor 10 minutes before the yacht departs to prepare for boarding. 【Suggested stay time】 0.5 hours, depending on the duration of the boat's stay.
