Tamen Port Introduction
Tanmen Harbor is the most important gateway to Wang-an, serving as a docking and transfer station for boats traveling between the islands of Nansha, Qimei, Hujing, Tongpan, and Jianglei, as well as for vessels going to Makung. It is also the main fishing port in Wang-an, while other ports such as Zhongsha Fishing Port and Shui'an Fishing Port have gradually declined. The village of Dong'an, located on the southeastern side of the harbor, is the most densely populated area on Wang-an Island. The Tanmen Harbor area is the most vibrant and commercially active part of Wang-an, featuring various service providers such as snack shops, ice cream stores, car rental companies, and convenience stores. The pavilion area at the dock is a common spot for both tourists and locals to seek shade and wait for boat departures. Next to Tanmen Harbor, there is a streamlined building located in the southeast of Wang-an, just a few minutes' walk from the Green Sea Turtle Conservation Center. The center has well-equipped facilities and is currently divided into sections: a Green Sea Turtle introduction area, a turtle and human ecological display area, a seabird introduction area, and a Nansha tourism introduction area. The harbor offers a great view of Jianglei Island and is a wonderful spot to watch the sunrise. Various yachts and boats dock here, so it is advisable to return to the harbor at least 10 minutes before the scheduled departure of your boat. **[Recommended Stay Time]** 0.5 hours, depending on the boat's docking duration.
