Tian Tai Mountain Introduction
Tiantai Mountain, with an elevation of 53 meters, is the highest peak on Wang'an Island. Nearby is a famous stone inscription site in Penghu. The surrounding grassland is flat, occasionally grazed by cattle and sheep, creating a naturally beautiful scene. Tiantai Mountain has become the best spot to overlook Wang'an Island and the opposite Huayu Islet. The rock layers of Tiantai Mountain are mainly composed of microgranite, characterized by sheet-like joint patterns. At the western cliff, there is a spectacular basalt landscape. Following the trail down to the western coast, one can discover a remarkable 30-meter sea cave. The joint beauty of microgranite differs from the columnar basalt landscapes of Hujing and Tongpan Islands. The interleaved joints of Tiantai Mountain form beautiful "stone flowers."
