KANO Park Introduction
The KANO Park in Chiayi City was completed in August 2017, allowing everyone to revisit the proud baseball history of Chiayi City. There is an outdoor musical theater across from the Family Education Center and a baseball sculpture area featuring bronze bats and glove-shaped benches. The ground is embedded with stone slabs, and upon closer inspection, you can find lines from the movie "KANO." For example, "The papaya tree with no way back will surely bear juicy fruit" and "There are no shortcuts to playing baseball well; only hard practice." The "Baseball Century Avenue," which is 40 meters wide and 180 meters long, was the route that the Chiayi Agricultural High School baseball team took to the stadium. Both the stone slabs on the ground and the nearby baseball Hall of Fame wall carefully present the rise of the Chiayi Agricultural High School baseball team, introducing the 16 players who brought the team to the finals of the Koshien Tournament. Of course, you cannot miss the KANO landscape ball, weighing 4 tons and measuring 5 meters in diameter, made from aluminum alloy and inlaid with over 120 hollow rings. It shines beautifully in the daytime and offers a colorful light show at night, each having its own charm. It's also a great spot for perspective photography! Whether you want to hold the ball in your hands or kick it for fun, various angles can capture creative shots!
