Step into the fairy tale world of the six little pigs. The story of the Three Little Pigs has been transformed into six little pigs hidden in the alleys of Cultural Road within "Wood Village." Led by these characters, visitors embark on a refreshed fairy tale of Wood Village, discovering the beautiful world of cypress wood. Wood Village was formerly known as Shun Yi Wood Industry, boasting a history of half a century in Chiayi. Under the second generation, the couple Yan Wei-De engaged in continuous communication with their elders to ensure the potential development of wood. From initial skepticism to eventual recognition, it took three years for Wood Village to be born. The hope is to utilize this space to help more people understand the various uses of wood, recognize the mysteries of trees in nature, and learn about the development of forestry. The ultimate goal is not only to pave a way for the forestry industry but also to preserve visitors' memories of wood. Driven by this original intention, the interior design, content creation, and spatial concepts were all crafted by Yan Wei-De and his wife. They also specially planned an interactive play area and DIY woodworking experiences, aiming to leave joyful memories and achieve an educational and entertaining purpose for both children and adults. While visiting, don't miss the signature dishes here—Cypress Egg and Fruit Popsicle. The Cypress Egg differs from ordinary tea eggs; in addition to a secret herbal recipe, it is also simmered with cypress wood, making it not only healthy and delicious but leaving a subtle cypress aroma in the mouth. The ingredients of the Fruit Popsicle are very simple, consisting only of milk and fruits. The owner insists on not adding emulsifiers or other additives, allowing visitors to enjoy it with peace of mind while retaining the original fruit flavor. Despite being a newcomer, Wood Village continues to refine its offerings. In just five years of operation, the number of visitors has been steadily increasing, with future plans for adult craft experience classes.
