Yangmingshan Zhongshan Building Introduction
The Zhongshan Lodge in Yangmingshan National Park was constructed in 1965 by President Chiang Kai-shek to commemorate the centenary of the birth of Dr. Sun Yat-sen. Designed by the renowned architect Ms. Hsu Tze-lan, it is nestled among lush surrounding mountains. The exterior features traditional Chinese classical architecture, while the interior is elegantly and intricately decorated. In the past, it served as the venue for the National Assembly and was an important location for hosting foreign guests and national banquets for heads of state. Today, it has been designated as a municipal historic site and is open for venue rental and guided tours, representing a building of historical significance.
