Zhongshan Hall, Yangmingshan Introduction
The Chungshan Hall within Yangmingshan National Park was built in 1965 by President Chiang Kai-shek to commemorate the centennial birthday of Dr. Sun Yat-sen. Designed by the renowned architect Ms. Hsu Tseng-lan, it is nestled among lush mountains. The exterior showcases traditional Chinese classical architecture, while the interior is elegantly and intricately furnished. It previously served as the venue for the National Assembly and was an important site for hosting foreign dignitaries and state banquets. Today, it has been designated as a municipal historical monument and is open for venue rentals and guided tours, making it a building of historical commemorative value.
