M Said Pier Introduction
Merti Wharf, located outside Watergate No. 16 on Keelung River and in front of the Merti evacuation gate, is one of the ports in the Blue Highway Water Transportation Network. The layout is similar to Dajia Wharf, and it currently primarily serves as a docking point for passenger ferries on the Blue Highway routes. Merti Wharf extends the Blue Highway routes to the Neihu area, transforming the Keelung River into a water tourism corridor that connects with the Miramar commercial district. Nearby attractions include the National Palace Museum, the Martyrs' Shrine, and the Ferris wheel, as well as various shopping centers and wholesale stores around the Neihu Science Park. Additionally, Merti Riverside Park, where the wharf is located, offers expansive views. Visitors can enjoy a distant view of the Taipei 101 building and watch planes take off and land at Songshan Airport, making it a great place for citizens to approach the river, relax, stroll, or ride bicycles.
