Taipei Songshan Airport Observation Deck Introduction

The observation deck will undergo renovations starting October 2023 for 8 to 10 months, with the completion date subject to weather and construction progress. The Taipei International Airport observation deck reopened in November 2010, located on the third floor between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, covering an area of approximately 545 ping. The landscaping of the observation deck features ironwood that is well-suited to Taiwan's climate and has the benefit of low radiation heat. Additionally, in line with the image of an international airport, the design by world-renowned Spanish designer Alexander Lotersztain is specifically chosen, named "Twig" (meaning young branch), featuring glowing outdoor seats that provide visitors with different views day and night. An outdoor light snack area is also planned on the west side of the entrance plaza for visitors to relax and dine. The observation deck is open for free, becoming a new leisure option for the public.
