Taipei Songshan Airport Observation Deck Introduction
The observation deck will undergo maintenance starting from October 2023 for 8 to 10 months, with the completion date to be adjusted based on weather and construction progress. The Taipei International Airport observation deck reopened in November 2010, located on the 3rd floor between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, covering an area of approximately 545 ping. The landscaping features flora that adapt to Taiwan's climate, such as Ironwood, which has the benefit of low radiant heat. Additionally, to align with the image of an international airport, it has been designed by world-renowned Spanish designer Alexander Lotersztain and is named "Twig," which means tender branch. The glowing outdoor seating provides visitors with different landscape experiences day and night. An outdoor light meal area is also planned on the west side of the entrance plaza for the public to rest and dine. The observation deck is free to enter, making it a new leisure option for the public.
