Taipei Songshan Airport Observation Deck Introduction
The observation deck will undergo renovation starting October 2023 for a period of 8 to 10 months, with the completion date subject to weather conditions and construction progress. The Taipei International Airport Observation Deck reopened in November 2010, located on the third floor between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, covering an area of approximately 545 ping. The landscape design incorporates ironwood, which is well-suited to Taiwan's climate and has the benefit of low radiant heat. To align with the image of an international airport, the observation deck features outdoor seating designed by world-renowned Spanish designer Alexander Lotersztain, named "Twig," which emits light and offers visitors different views day and night. An outdoor light snack area is also planned on the west side of the entrance square for visitors to relax and dine. The observation deck is free to enter, providing a new leisure option for the public.
