Taipei Songshan Airport Observation Deck Introduction
The viewing platform has been under renovation since October 112 and will take approximately 8 to 10 months, with the completion date adjusting based on weather and construction progress. The Taipei International Airport viewing platform reopened in November 2010, located on the 3rd floor between the first and second terminals, covering an area of approximately 545 ping. The platform is beautifully landscaped with ironwood, which is well-suited to Taiwan's climate and offers the benefit of low radiant heat. Additionally, to align with the image of an international airport, it features outdoor seats designed by world-renowned Spanish designer Alexander Lotersztain, named "Twig," which emit light to provide visitors with different visual experiences day and night. An outdoor light meal area is also planned on the west side of the entrance square for visitors to relax and dine. The viewing platform is open for free and serves as a new leisure option for the public.
