Rainbow Bridge Introduction
Rainbow Bridge is 167 meters long and connects Neihu District and Songshan District, spanning the Keelung River. It features a unique design supported by four main steel cable suspensions in the center of the bridge. The structure forms an S-shaped curved bridge with a bright red steel rib arch beam, complemented by wooden railings and pink and light blue pavement tiles, making it an innovative landmark public facility. Currently, Rainbow Bridge is open only to pedestrians and bicycles, not allowing automobile traffic. It is often seen with pedestrians leisurely walking, serving as a shortcut between Neihu, Raohe Street Night Market, and Songshan Railway Station, significantly shortening the travel time for residents of Songshan and Neihu. Whether during the day or at night, Rainbow Bridge showcases different beauties. Especially at night, the reflections from the lights on the bridge add significant charm to Taipei's night landscape, making it a popular subject for photography enthusiasts capturing Taipei's night scenery. Additionally, Rainbow Bridge has established a blue highway terminal dock, attracting more river tourism and becoming another new sightseeing landmark in Taipei City.
