Chengmei Riverside Park Introduction
Chengmei Right Bank Riverside Park is located between the Chenggong Bridge and the Maishuai Bridge along the Keelung River (on the Neihu side). Every weekend, you'll find groups of people, each focused on their own activities just a few meters apart. If you take a closer look, you'll see remote-controlled cars, digital single-lens reflex cameras, and more, with adults often more enthusiastic than children! The park is equipped with numerous sports facilities, including tennis courts, basketball courts, a softball practice field, a skating rink, pull-up bars, and health exercise equipment, providing Taipei citizens with more space for physical activities. Connecting the Chengmei Left and Right Bank Parks is the "Rainbow Bridge," which is painted bright red with a unique design that resembles a rainbow spanning the river. Below the bridge, the bike path is spacious, with green vines covering the riverbank protection wall, which also has a wavy structure in harmony with the Rainbow Bridge. At both ends of the Rainbow Bridge, there are elevators that take visitors to the top of the embankment, making it convenient for the disabled, the elderly, and those with strollers, ensuring a thoughtful barrier-free design. There is also a bike towing path in the middle of the staircase, allowing cyclists to pass easily from one end to the other. At Chengmei Right Bank Riverside Park, visitors can also capture panoramic views of the Taipei 101 building against the backdrop of blue skies and white clouds. After nightfall, the surface of the Keelung River shimmers, creating a harmonious scene that attracts many photography enthusiasts.
