Chengmei Riverside Park Introduction
Chengmei Right Bank Riverside Park is located between the Chenggong Bridge and the Maishuai Bridge along the Keelung River (on the Neihu side). Every weekend, there are groups of people meticulously tinkering with their devices every few meters, with adults often more engaged than children, featuring items such as remote-controlled cars and digital single-lens reflex cameras. The park offers numerous sports facilities, including tennis courts, basketball courts, softball practice areas, skating rinks, horizontal bars, and fitness equipment, providing more exercise space for the citizens of Taipei. The "Rainbow Bridge" connects the Chengmei Left and Right Bank Parks, featuring a bright red body with a unique design that resembles a rainbow arching across the river. Below the bridge, the bicycle path is spacious, and the river bank wall is covered with green vines, with a wavy base that echoes the Rainbow Bridge. Elevators at both ends of the Rainbow Bridge lead directly to the top of the embankment, making it convenient for people with disabilities, the elderly, and those with strollers to avoid the tiring climb. The barrier-free design is quite thoughtful, and there's a bike tow path in the middle of the stairs, allowing cyclists to easily pass through. At Chengmei Right Bank Riverside Park, you can also capture panoramic views of Taipei 101 against a backdrop of blue skies and white clouds. After dark, the shimmering water of the Keelung River creates a harmonious scene, making it a gathering spot for many photography enthusiasts.
