Pingtungli Cherry Blossoms Introduction
Most of the cherry blossom viewing spots in northern Taiwan start from Pingjing Street in Yangmingshan. Every year between January and February, you can enter Yangmingshan by turning left at No. 71, Section 3, Zhishan Road in Shilin District. Along the way, you can enjoy the blooming mountain cherry blossoms, which are located in the tranquil alleys of Yangmingshan. In Pingdeng Village, there are many recreational and sightseeing farms where you can enjoy coffee, snacks, watch the agricultural products, and eat home-cooked dishes, making it a great place for leisure. The types of cherry blossoms in Yangmingshan include Prunus campanulata (Taiwan Cherry), double-flowered Prunus campanulata (Yaezakura), Yoshino Cherry, Shōwa Cherry, and Oshima Cherry.
