Pingtung Village Cherry Blossoms Introduction
The cherry blossom viewing spots in northern Taiwan almost all begin with the cherry blossoms along Pingjing Street in Yangmingshan. From January to February each year, you can turn left into Yangmingshan from Section 3, Zhi Shan Road in Shilin District, and enjoy the blooming mountain cherry blossoms along the way. The cherry blossoms are nestled within the tranquil alleys of Yangmingshan, and within Pingdeng Village, there are many leisure and tourist farms where you can enjoy coffee and snacks, watch farming activities, and taste home-cooked dishes, making it a great place for relaxation. The types of cherry blossoms in Yangmingshan include: Prunus campanulata (Taiwan cherry), double-flowered Prunus campanulata (Yaeyama cherry), Yoshino cherry, Showa cherry, and Oshima cherry.
