Pingtungli Cherry Blossoms Introduction
The cherry blossom viewing spots in northern Taiwan almost all begin with the cherry blossoms on Pingjing Street in Yangmingshan. Every year between January and February, you can turn left from Section 3, Zhishan Road in Shilin District to enter Yangmingshan, where you can admire the blooming mountain cherry blossoms along the way. The cherry blossoms are situated in the tranquil alleys of Yangmingshan, and within Pingdeng Village, there are many recreational farms offering coffee, snacks, agricultural viewing, and farm cuisine, making it a great place for relaxation. The types of cherry blossoms in Yangmingshan include: Prunus serrulata (mountain cherry), double-flowered Prunus serrulata (Yaezakura), Yoshino cherry, Showa cherry, and Oshima cherry.
