Sakura, Alley 42, Pingjing Street Introduction

When the cold cherry blossoms first bloom, the flowers present a light pinkish-white color, which later turns to pink and eventually deep red. Each bud contains 3 to 4 flowers, and the buds are spaced very closely together. When they bloom simultaneously, the entire branch is adorned with delicate and charming pink flowers. Most cherry blossom viewing spots in northern Taiwan start with the cherry blossoms along Pingjing Street in Yangmingshan. Every year from January to February, visitors can enter Yangmingshan by turning left at Section 3, Zhishan Road, in Shilin District, where they can appreciate the blooming mountain cherry flowers, nestled within the tranquil alleys of Yangmingshan. Within Pingdeng Village, there are many leisure and sightseeing farms, offering coffee and snacks, where visitors can observe farming activities and enjoy home-cooked meals, making it an ideal place for relaxation. The types of cherry blossoms in Yangmingshan include: Formosan cherry (mountain cherry), double-flowered Formosan cherry (yaezakura), Yoshino cherry, Showa cherry, and Oshima cherry.
