Pingjing Street Lane 42 Sakura Introduction
When the寒櫻 (Taiwanese cherry) first blooms, the flowers exhibit a light pinkish-white color, which later turns pink and eventually deep red. Each bud contains 3 to 4 flowers, and the buds are spaced closely together, creating a beautiful display of soft pink blossoms when they all bloom together. The cherry blossom viewing spots in northern Taiwan almost all begin with the cherry blossoms on Pingjing Street in Yangmingshan. From January to February each year, visitors can enter Yangmingshan by turning left into Section 3, Shihlin District, Lane 71, and along the way, you can enjoy the blooming mountain cherry blossoms. The cherry blossoms are located within the tranquil alleys of Yangmingshan, and in Pingdeng Village, there are many recreational and sightseeing farms, where one can find coffee, snacks, enjoy the view of the crops, and dine on home-cooked meals, making it an excellent place for relaxation. The varieties of cherry blossoms in Yangmingshan include: Formosan cherry (山櫻花), double-flowered Formosan cherry (八重櫻), Yoshino cherry, Showa cherry, and Oshima cherry, among others.
