Pingjing Street Lane 42 Sakura Introduction
When the Taiwan cherry blossoms first bloom, the flowers present a light pinkish-white color, which later turns pink and eventually deep red. Each bud contains about 3 to 4 flowers, and the buds are closely spaced, creating a stunning display of delicate pink blossoms when they all bloom together. The cherry blossom viewing spots in northern Taiwan almost all begin with the cherry blossoms on Pingjing Street in Yangmingshan. Between January and February each year, you can enter Yangmingshan by turning left from Shilin District, Section 3, Zhishan Road, and along the way, enjoy the blooming mountain cherry blossoms. The cherry blossoms are located within the tranquil alleys of Yangmingshan, and in Pingdengli, there are many leisure and sightseeing farms offering coffee, snacks, and agricultural activities, making it a great place for relaxation. The types of cherry blossoms in Yangmingshan include: Formosan Mountain Cherry (山櫻花), Double-flowered Formosan Mountain Cherry (八重櫻), Yoshino Cherry, Showa Cherry, and Oshima Cherry.
