Ganzhou Street - Tea Leaf Street Introduction

Ganzhou Street, commonly known as Tea Leaf Street, plays a significant role in the history of tea in Dadaocheng. During its peak, there were more than ten tea shops concentrated on Ganzhou Street and the neighboring Guizui Street. Additionally, the "Jin Ji Tea Shop" on Guide Street, "Xin Fang Chun Tea Shop" on Minsheng West Road, "Nanxing Tea Shop" currently known as Quanxiang Tea Factory on Xining North Road, and "You Ji Ming Tea" on Chongqing North Road were also important contributors to the development of the tea industry. Although Ganzhou Street has declined today, there are still 5 to 6 tea shops that continue to follow traditional tea-making techniques and maintain authentic tea culture. Each cup of tea is the result of a complex processing procedure, enhancing its fragrance and aftertaste. Moreover, the tea leaves here are made with genuine quality, reflecting the honest hospitality spirit passed down from older generations. In addition, the Chaoyang Park on Chongqing North Road is now a tea-themed park that records the past contributions of the tea industry and aims to revitalize the old community's business opportunities by integrating tea with culture, leisure, and tourism.
