Ganzhou Street - Tea Leaf Street Introduction

Ganzu Street, commonly known as Tea Leaf Street, plays a significant role in the tea history of Dadaocheng. During its peak, Ganzu Street and the nearby return-to-order street gathered more than a dozen tea shops. Additionally, the "Jinji Tea Shop" on Guide Street, the "Xinfangchun Tea Shop" on Minsheng West Road, the "Nanxing Tea Shop," which is now the Quanxiang Tea Factory on Xining North Road, and the "Youji Ming Tea" on Chongqing North Road were also important contributors to the development of the tea industry. Although Ganzu Street has seen a decline, there are still about 5 or 6 tea shops that preserve traditional tea-making techniques and a genuine tea culture. Every cup of tea goes through a complex production process, making it more fragrant and flavorful. Furthermore, the tea leaves here are guaranteed to be of high quality, embodying the honest spirit of hospitality passed down from the older generations. In addition, Chaoyang Park on Chongqing North Road is now a tea-themed park that documents the contributions of the tea industry in the past and aims to revitalize the old community's business opportunities through the integration of tea with culture, leisure, and tourism.
