Taiwan Provincial Political Construction Association Office (Old Site) Introduction
After the outbreak of the February 28 Incident, the Taiwan Provincial Political Construction Association actively coordinated between the government and the public, and participated in handling committees. On March 8, the association issued a "Letter to Compatriots," proposing principles and guidelines for political reform. After the suppression began, the authorities arrested and killed members of the association under the pretext of being a communist organization inciting rebellion among the people. The association's office was located on the second floor of the Sanmin Bookstore at No. 3, Section 2, Yanping North Road, Datong District, Taipei City, while the first floor housed the Sanmin Bookstore. Jiang Weichuan was also listed as a target for arrest for his involvement in assisting the Governor's Office in mediating and handling the February 28 Incident.
