Office of the Political Construction Association of Taiwan (Former Site) Introduction
After the outbreak of the February 28 Incident, the Taiwan Provincial Political Construction Association actively coordinated between the government and the public and participated in handling committees. On March 8, the association issued a "Message to Fellow Countrymen," proposing principles and guidelines for political reform. Once the suppression began, the authorities arrested and killed members of the association under the pretext of being a communist organization and inciting public rebellion. The association office was located on the second floor of the Sanmin Bookstore at No. 2, Section 2, Yanping North Road, Datong District, Taipei City, with the Sanmin Bookstore on the first floor. Jiang Weichuan was also listed as a target for arrest for his involvement in assisting the General Government Office in mediating the handling of the February 28 Incident.
