Taiwan Provincial Political Construction Association Office (Old Site) Introduction
After the outbreak of the February 28 Incident, the Taiwan Provincial Political Construction Association actively coordinated between the government and the public and participated in handling committees. On March 8, the association issued the "Letter to Fellow Compatriots," proposing principles and guidelines for political reform. As the suppression began, the authorities arrested and killed association members, citing the organization of communists and inciting the public to rebellion as reasons. The association's office was located on the second floor of the Sanmin Bookstore at No. 2, Section 2, Yanping North Road, Datong District, Taipei City, with the Sanmin Bookstore on the first floor. Jiang Wei-chuan was also targeted for arrest due to his involvement in assisting the governor's office in mediating the February 28 Incident.
