Taiwan Provincial Association of Political Construction Office (Old Site) Introduction
After the outbreak of the February 28 Incident, the Taiwan Provincial Political Construction Association actively coordinated between the government and the public and participated in the handling committee. On March 8, the association issued a "Letter to Compatriots," proposing principles and policies for political reform. Following the suppression, the authorities arrested and killed association members under the pretext of being a communist organization and inciting public rebellion. The association's office was located on the second floor of the San Min Bookstore at No. 2, Section 2, Yanping North Road, Datong District, Taipei City, with the San Min Bookstore on the first floor. Jiang Wei-chuan was also listed as a target for arrest due to his participation in assisting the Governor-General's Office in mediating the February 28 Incident.
