Taiping Junior High School Introduction
Originally established in 1898 as Dadaocheng Public School, in 1909, the land was divided due to the development of Taiping Street (now Yanping North Road), leading to the establishment of Dadaocheng First Public School (now Taiping Elementary School) in the eastern area and the current Yongle Elementary School in the western area. Taiping Elementary School also has many notable alumni, such as artist Huang Tushu, Yang Sanlang, and renowned entrepreneur Gu Zhenfu. After the 228 Incident in 1947, Taiping Elementary School was used as a detention center for arrested individuals.
