Fourth Military Police Group (Old Site) Introduction

During the February 28 Incident, the 4th Constabulary Regiment was responsible for pacification and sweeping operations in northern Taiwan, and also collaborated with other units to "sweep" the Keelung city area. After martial law was declared on March 10, the 4th Constabulary Regiment undertook the task of pacification and sweeping north of Hsinchu, with Major General Zhang Mutao concurrently serving as the commander of the northern pacification area. The original site of the 4th Constabulary Regiment was initially established as the Hongji Hospital by Dr. Lin Qingyue, and was later taken over by the Taiwan Governor-General's Office to establish a rehabilitation center for the treatment and confinement of opium addicts and drug intoxication patients. After the war, it was relocated and occupied by the 4th Military Police Regiment.
