4th Military Police Command (Old Site) Introduction

During the February 28 Incident, the 4th Constabulary Regiment was responsible for pacification operations in northern Taiwan and also collaborated with other troops to "sweep" the city of Keelung. After the declaration of martial law on March 10, the regiment was tasked with pacification operations north of Hsinchu, with Brigadier General Chang Mu-tao serving as the commander of the northern pacification area. The original site of the 4th Constabulary Regiment was the Hongji Hospital, established by Dr. Lin Ching-yueh, which was later taken over by the Taiwan Governor-General's Office to establish a rehabilitation center specifically for the treatment of opium addicts and drug intoxication patients. After the war, the site was eventually occupied by the 4th Military Police Regiment.
