Fourth Military Police Corps (Old Site) Introduction
During the February 28 Incident, the 4th Constabulary Regiment was responsible for pacification operations in northern Taiwan and collaborated with other units to "clean up" the downtown area of Keelung. After martial law was declared on March 10, the 4th Constabulary Regiment was tasked with pacification operations north of Hsinchu, with Brigadier General Zhang Mutao serving as the commander of the Northern Pacification Zone. The original site of the 4th Constabulary Regiment was the Hongji Hospital, which was established by Dr. Lin Qingyue and later taken over by the Japanese Governor-General of Taiwan to establish a rehabilitation center for the treatment of opium addicts and narcotic intoxication patients. After the war, it was moved and was subsequently occupied by the 4th Military Police Regiment.
