Military Police Fourth Corps (Former Site) Introduction

During the February 28 Incident, the 4th Constabulary Regiment was responsible for pacification and sweep operations in northern Taiwan and also collaborated with other units to "sweep" the Keelung City area. After martial law was declared on March 10, the 4th Constabulary Regiment took charge of the pacification and sweep tasks in areas north of Hsinchu, with Brigadier General Chang Mu-tao serving as the commander of the northern pacification zone. The original site of the 4th Constabulary Regiment was initially established as the Hongji Hospital by Dr. Lin Qingyue and was later taken over by the Taiwan Governor-General’s Office to establish a rehabilitation center for the treatment of opium addicts and narcotic dependency. After the war, it was relocated and occupied by the 4th Military Police Regiment.
