Fulinh Park Introduction
Fulin Park is located at the intersection of Zhongshan North Road and Fulin Road in Shilin District. Completed in 1991, it covers an area of approximately 2.6 hectares and is shaped like a triangle, serving as an open-style comprehensive park. The park's most notable feature is the elegant art sculptures designed and created by Director Li Zhiwen from the National Taiwan University of Arts, which are inspired by nature. There are six groups of sculptures representing the sun, clouds, mountains, waterfalls, water, and wells, all created using abstract expressionist techniques to give a three-dimensional form to natural landscapes, with the 'water' sculpture cast in bronze and the other five groups made entirely of natural stone. The integration of these natural art pieces throughout the park enhances the visual landscape, providing different effects and aesthetics when viewed from afar or up close. Fulin Park is only separated by a road from the Shilin Official Residence Park. In 2009, the park was updated to accommodate surrounding parking needs and the establishment of the Li Ke-yung Memorial Library, featuring an underground parking lot that can hold 232 cars and 67 motorcycles, with space for 10 tour buses on the surface, making it convenient for visitors to park while visiting the Shilin Official Residence or heading up Yangmingshan to enjoy the flowers or hot springs without the hassle of traffic. The park boasts lush green grass, and walking among the verdant woods feels like being in a rural mountain setting; in the bustling city, such scenery is becoming increasingly rare. We invite you to embark on a visual landscape journey!
