Fulin Park Introduction

Fulin Park is located at the intersection of Zhongshan North Road and Fulin Road in the Shilin District. It was completed in 1991, covers an area of approximately 2.6 hectares, and has a triangular shape, serving as an open comprehensive park. The park's main feature is the elegant art sculptures designed by Mr. Li Zhikun, the head of the Fine Arts Department at the National Academy of Arts, which are based on natural themes. There are six groups of sculptures representing the sun, clouds, mountains, waterfalls, water, and wells, created using abstract expressionism to three-dimensionally represent natural landscapes through pictographic forms. Except for the 'Water' sculpture made from bronze, the other five groups are made entirely from natural stone. The sculptures connect the entire park, presenting a different visual landscape through variations in space and color, providing distinct effects and beauty from afar and up close. Fulin Park is only separated by a road from the Shilin Official Residence Park. In 2009, the park underwent renovations to meet parking demands and the establishment of the Li Ke-yung Memorial Library, with an underground parking facility that accommodates 232 cars and 67 motorcycles, as well as space for 10 tour buses on the surface. This setup not only facilitates parking for visitors to the Shilin Official Residence but also allows those going to Yangmingshan to enjoy flowers and hot springs to park here and take the bus up the mountain, avoiding traffic congestion. The park is lush with greenery, and walking through the verdant woods feels like being in a rural landscape. In a bustling metropolis, such scenery is becoming increasingly rare. We invite you to embark on a visual landscape journey!
