Fulinh Park Introduction
Fulin Park is located at the intersection of Zhongshan North Road and Fulin Road in Shilin District. Completed in 1991, it covers an area of approximately 2.6 hectares and has a triangular shape, serving as an open-style comprehensive park. The park's most notable feature is the elegant art sculptures designed and created by Mr. Li Zhihui, the head of the Fine Arts Department at the National Academy of Arts, with natural scenes as the main theme. There are six sets of sculptures, including the sun, clouds, mountains, waterfalls, water, and wells, which abstractly represent natural landscapes in three-dimensional forms. Except for 'water,' which is made of bronze, the other five sets are all crafted from natural stones. The sculptures of nature run throughout the entire park, presenting a different visual landscape through changes in space and colors, offering various effects and aesthetics from afar and up close. Fulin Park is separated from Shilin Official Residence Park by just one road. In 2009, the park was updated to accommodate surrounding parking needs and the establishment of the Li Ke-yung Memorial Library. The underground parking lot can hold 232 cars and 67 motorcycles, while the surface has space for 10 tour buses. This not only facilitates parking for visitors to the Shilin Official Residence but also allows those visiting Yangmingshan for flower viewing or hot springs to park here and take a bus up the mountain, avoiding traffic congestion. Fulin Park features lush green grass, and walking through the verdant forest feels like being in a rural landscape. Such scenery has become increasingly rare in the bustling metropolis. We invite you to embark on a visual landscape journey!
