Fulin Park Introduction
Fulin Park is located at the intersection of Zhongshan North Road and Fulin Road in Shilin District. Completed in 1991, it covers an area of approximately 2.6 hectares and has a triangular shape, serving as an open-type comprehensive park. The park's most prominent feature is the elegant art sculptures designed and created by Mr. Lee Chih-Wen, head of the Fine Arts Department of the National Taipei University of the Arts, inspired by nature. There are six groups of sculptures representing the sun, clouds, mountains, waterfalls, water, and wells, which use abstract expressions to shape nature into three-dimensional forms. Except for the 'water' sculpture, which is made of bronze, the other five groups are made entirely from natural stones. The park's artistic sculptures create a cohesive theme throughout the area, presenting a different visual landscape through variations in space and color, offering distinct effects and aesthetics from both distant and close views. Fulin Park is only separated from Shilin Official Residence Park by a street. In 2009, the park was updated to accommodate parking needs and the establishment of the Li Ke-Yung Memorial Library. The underground parking facility can accommodate 232 cars and 67 motorcycles, and there is space for 10 tour buses on the surface, making it convenient for visitors to park while visiting the Shilin Official Residence or enjoying flowers and hot springs in Yangmingshan. You can park here and take a bus up the mountain, avoiding the hassle of traffic congestion. Fulin Park features lush greenery, and walking through the verdant forest feels like being in the countryside. In a bustling metropolis, such scenery is becoming increasingly rare. We invite you to embark on a visual landscape journey!
