Taipei Astronomical Museum Introduction
The main exhibition areas include: Exhibition Hall: The exhibition hall spans three floors and introduces astronomical science knowledge in a spacious setting filled with a cosmic atmosphere. It features multimedia interactive models, a children’s learning area, and a self-guided tour system. Space Adventure: The Space Adventure is a low-speed track vehicle that allows visitors to experience an unforgettable journey through the solar system, black holes, and alien encounters over a ten-minute ride. After disembarking, guests can also visit a futuristic space city. Planetarium: The planetarium screens omnidirectional films on a giant dome, providing a unique audiovisual experience, and is equipped with a digital planetarium that projects a realistic night sky. The film lasts about 40 minutes, followed by a 10-minute introduction to the stars. 3D Theater: In the 3D theater, guests can appreciate 3D images that leap off the screen by wearing special 3D glasses, creating a new experience that combines education and entertainment. The film is approximately 40 minutes long. Observatory (Observing Room): Located on the top floor, the observatory is free to visit. During the day, staff explain telescopes and observe the sun. On Saturday nights, they arrange viewings of suitable celestial bodies. The observatory can accommodate a maximum of 20 people at a time, and visitors can line up for entry.
