Xinxin Park Introduction

Xinxin Park covers an area of 25,408 square meters and is located at Lane 149, Section 3, Nangang Road. The land was donated by Taiwan Railways Administration and is part of the Eastern District Gateway Project. The park is planned as an "Ecological Wetland Park," featuring native plants as well as plants that attract butterflies and birds, providing habitats for wildlife and enhancing environmental biodiversity while also offering opportunities for environmental education. In response to global warming and extreme climate events, the park incorporates flood retention functions, creating a sponge city by establishing water retention and flood storage spaces to preserve water on-site. Utilizing the space axis created after the undergrounding of the railway, the park connects public and private lands from west to east, developing a multi-core corridor urban structure that serves as a multifunctional recreational and disaster prevention space. It includes a children's climbing area designed based on the northeast corner's mountain terrain, as well as a slide, zip line, balance beam, and other play facilities, allowing adults and children to engage in activities and enjoy the landscape together. The slide platform in the children's playground is the highest point in the park and is a popular spot for viewing the entire park.
