Xin Xin Park Introduction

New Park covers an area of 25,408 square meters and is located at Lane 149, Section 3, Nangang Road. The land was donated by the state-owned Taiwan Railway Corporation and is part of the Eastern District Gateway Project. The park is planned as an "Ecological Wetland Park," featuring native plants and flora that attract butterflies and birds, providing habitats for wildlife and enhancing environmental biodiversity, while also offering opportunities for environmental education. In response to global warming and extreme climate events, the park considers flood retention functions, creating a sponge city and establishing water retention spaces to achieve water conservation on-site. Utilizing the space along the axis created by the underground railway, it connects public and private lands from west to east, developing a multi-core corridor-type urban spatial structure that serves as a multifunctional park for recreation and disaster prevention. The park includes a children's climbing area designed based on the northeastern mountainous terrain, along with slides, zip lines, balance beams, and other playground facilities, allowing both adults and children to enjoy activities and scenic views amid the undulating landscape. The slide platform in the children's playground is the highest point in the park, making it a popular spot to overlook the entire park.
