Xinxin Park Introduction
Xinxin Park covers an area of 25,408 square meters, located at Lane 149, Section 3, Nangang Road. The land is donated by the state-owned Taiwan Railways Corporation and is part of the Eastern District Gateway Plan. The park is designed as an "Ecological Wetland Park," featuring native plants that attract butterflies and birds, providing habitats for wildlife and enhancing environmental biodiversity, while also offering opportunities for environmental education. In response to global warming and climate volatility, the park gives consideration to flood control functions and aims to create a sponge city by establishing water retention and flood storage areas to maintain soil moisture. Utilizing the space axis after the railway undergrounding, it connects public and private lands from west to east, developing a multi-core corridor urban space structure for a multifunctional park that serves both recreational and disaster prevention purposes. Facilities include a children's climbing area designed based on the northeast corner's hilly terrain, slides, zip lines, and balance beams, allowing both adults and children to engage in activities and enjoy the scenery within the undulating landscape. The slide platform of the children's playground is the highest point in the park and a popular spot for overlooking the park's entire view.
