Xinxin Park Introduction

Xinxin Park covers an area of 25,408 square meters and is located at Lane 149, Section 3, Nangang Road. The land was donated by the state-owned Taiwan Railways Administration and falls within the Eastern District Gateway Plan. The park is designed as an "ecological wetland park," featuring native and butterfly-attracting, bird-attracting plants to provide habitats for wildlife and enhance environmental biodiversity, as well as offer opportunities for environmental education. In response to global warming and climate volatility, the park considers flood retention functionality and aims to create a sponge city by developing water retention and flood control spaces to preserve groundwater. Using the space axis from the underground railway, the park connects both public and private land from west to east, developing a multi-core corridor urban spatial structure that serves as a multifunctional park for leisure and disaster prevention. It includes children’s play facilities designed on the basis of the northeastern corner's hilly terrain, such as a rock climbing area, slides, zip lines, and balance beams, allowing both adults and children to engage in activities and enjoy the scenery on the undulating landscape. The slide platform in the children's playground is the highest point of the park, making it a popular spot for panoramic views of the park.
