Xin Xin Park Introduction
Xinxin Park covers an area of 25,408 square meters and is located at Lane 149, Section 3, Nangang Road. The land was donated by the Taiwan Railways Administration and is part of the Eastern District Gateway Project. The park is planned as an "Ecological Wetland Park," featuring native and butterfly-attracting plants, providing wildlife habitats, and enhancing biodiversity while also offering environmental education opportunities. In response to global warming and extreme weather, the park incorporates flood retention features to create a sponge city, developing water retention and flood control spaces to achieve water conservation on-site. Utilizing the space along the former railway corridor, it connects public and private lands from west to east to develop a multi-core corridor urban spatial structure, serving as a multifunctional park for recreation and disaster prevention. The park includes various children's play facilities designed based on the northeastern hilly terrain, such as a children's rock climbing area, slides, zip lines, and balance beams, allowing adults and children to enjoy activities and the scenic landscape together. The slides' platform is the highest point in the park and a popular spot for panoramic views of the entire park.
