Xinxin Park Introduction
Xinxin Park covers an area of 25,408 square meters and is located at Lane 149, Section 3, Nankang Road. The land was donated by the Taiwan Railway Company and is part of the Eastern District Gateway Plan. The park is designed as an "Ecological Wetland Park," featuring native and butterfly-attracting plants to provide habitats for wildlife and enhance environmental biodiversity, as well as offering environmental education opportunities. In response to global warming and extreme weather, the park incorporates flood retention features and aims to create a sponge city by establishing water retention and flood control spaces to achieve water conservation on the site. Utilizing the space axis after the railway undergrounding, it connects public and private lands from west to east, developing a multi-core corridor urban spatial structure designed for public recreation and disaster prevention. The park includes a children's climbing area, slides, zip lines, and balance beams designed based on the terrain of the Northeast Corner Mountain, allowing both adults and children to engage in activities and enjoy the scenery together. The slide platform at the children's playground is the highest point in the park and serves as a popular spot for panoramic views of the park.
