Dragon Boat Rock Trail Introduction
The entrance to Longchuan Rock Trail is located at No. 62, Biii Mountain Road, Neihu District. The trail is 600 meters long and is a great place to observe ecological features along the stone-paved path. Longchuan Rock is situated below the ridge of Kaiyan Mountain and is a white quartz exposed rock with an elevation of 300 meters. It is called "Stone Boat" by locals due to its resemblance to a dragon boat and also known as Longchuan Rock. Because it is located on the ridge, standing on the rock means one side is a 90-degree cliff and the other is a 45-degree steep wall, so please pay attention to your safety. Nearby mountains such as Kaiyan Mountain, Biii Mountain, Baishihu Mountain, and Wuzhi Mountain all belong to the Wuzhi Mountain range within Neihu District. Public transportation is available near Longchuan Rock, and after getting off at Shikang Station, it is about a one-kilometer walk to the entrance. The trail is paved with stone slabs, and various ferns and wild plants grow along the way, adding enjoyment to the hiking journey that leads directly to the mountain top. Standing atop the rock offers a panoramic view of Shikang Mountain and Kaiyan Mountain, with an expansive sky that makes one linger and forget the hustle and bustle of the city. The surrounding pastoral scenery is beautiful and diverse, providing a refreshing rural atmosphere that can calm the mind. (Source: Baishihu Recreational Agricultural Area)
