Dragon Boat Rock Trail Introduction

The entrance to the Long Chuan Rock Trail is located at No. 62, Bishan Road, Neihu District. The trail, which is only 600 meters long, is a great place to observe the local ecology as you walk along the stone-paved path. Long Chuan Rock is situated below the ridge of Kaiyan Mountain and is characterized by exposed white quartz rock, standing at an elevation of 300 meters. It is referred to as "Stone Boat" by locals due to its resemblance to a dragon boat, and is also known as Long Chuan Rock. Because it is located on the ridge, be aware that on one side there is a 90-degree cliff and on the other a 45-degree steep slope, so please pay attention to your safety. Nearby mountains such as Kaiyan Mountain, Bishan, Baishihu Mountain, and Wuzhi Mountain are all part of the Wuzhi Mountain Range in Neihu District. Public transportation is available close to Long Chuan Rock, and after getting off at the Shikan Station, it is about a one-kilometer walk to the entrance. The trail is paved with stones, and various ferns and wild plants grow along the way, adding enjoyment to your walk. Continuing straight will lead you to the mountain peak. From the top of the rock, you can enjoy a distant view of Shikan Mountain and Kaiyan Mountain, with an expansive skyline that is captivating and allows one to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The surrounding pastoral scenery is beautiful and diverse, filled with a rural charm that brings a sense of peace and relaxation. (Source: Baishihu Leisure Agriculture Area)
