Dragon Boat Rock Trail Introduction
The entrance to the Longchuan Rock Trail is located at No. 62, Bihshan Road, Neihu District. The trail is only 600 meters long and is a great place for observing local ecology. Longchuan Rock is situated below the ridge of Kaiyan Mountain and is a white quartz exposed rock, standing at an elevation of 300 meters. It resembles a dragon boat, which is why locals refer to it as "Shichuan" or "Longchuan Rock." Since it is located on the ridge, standing on the rock presents a 90-degree cliff on one side and a 45-degree precipice on the other, so please be cautious of your safety. Nearby peaks such as Kaiyan Mountain, Bihshan, Baishihu Mountain, and Wuzhishan belong to the Wuzhishan Mountain Range in Neihu District. Public transportation is available near Longchuan Rock, and after getting off at the Shikan station, it is about a one-kilometer walk to the entrance. The path is paved with stone slabs and is lined with various ferns and wild plants, making the walk more enjoyable. Continuing straight will lead you to the summit, where you can enjoy a distant view of Shikan Mountain and Kaiyan Mountain, offering a vast horizon that allows you to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The surrounding rural scenery is beautiful and diverse, providing a different countryside atmosphere that is refreshing and Spirit-lifting. (Source: Baishihu Leisure Agricultural Area)
