Dragon Boat Rock Trail Introduction
The entrance to the Longchuan Rock Trail is located at No. 62, Bishan Road, Neihu District. The trail is only 600 meters long, making it a great place to observe wildlife along the stone-paved path. Longchuan Rock is situated beneath the ridge of Kaiyan Mountain and is a white quartz exposed rock with an elevation of 300 meters. It is locally referred to as "Shichuan" because of its shape resembling a dragon boat and is also known as Longchuan Rock. Since Longchuan Rock is located on the ridge line, standing on the rock presents a 90-degree cliff on one side and a 45-degree precipice on the other, so please be cautious about your safety. Nearby mountains include Kaiyan Mountain, Bishan, Baishihu Mountain, and Wuzhi Mountain, all of which belong to the Wuzhi Mountain Range in Neihu District. There are buses that can reach the entrance near Longchuan Rock; after getting off at the Shikan Station, you can walk approximately one kilometer to reach it. The trail is paved with stones, and various ferns and wild plants grow along the way, adding fun to the walking journey, which leads straight to the mountain peak. From the top of the rock, you can enjoy a distant view of Shikan Mountain and Kaiyan Mountain, with a vast sky that makes it easy to linger and escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
