Honglu Mountain Trail Introduction
Hongludi is located in the mountainous area behind Nanshijiao in Zhonghe District, New Taipei City, also known as Nanshijiao Mountain, along the Weixiao Mountain Line. Hongludi connects to the hiking trails leading to Yuantong Temple, linking Zhonghe District, Xindian District, and Tucheng District. Hongludi Mountain ranks 16th among the Minor 100 Peaks, with an elevation of 302 meters, making it popular among hikers. The mountain is home to many temples, becoming a pilgrimage destination for believers. Hongludi is the easternmost peak of the Tian Shang Mountain Range, with a flat and spacious summit offering a broad view, attracting many hikers to visit. Drivers passing through the section near Beier High School can see a giant Land God statue atop the mountain. From this location, one can overlook the Taipei Basin and the Dahan and Xindian rivers, while also enjoying distant views of Guanyin Mountain, Datun Volcano Group, and the Tamsui River estuary. Hongludi is also a famous tourist spot for viewing the night scenery in the Greater Taipei area.
