Yun Dun Gen Soup Introduction
The legendary high-end health supplement restaurant that has been selling only one soup for decades, "Yun Dun Gen," surely piques the curiosity of many. "Yun" refers to circulation, "Dun" signifies unhealthy elements within the body, and "Gen" represents the strengthening of one's foundation and regenerative ability. The three characters, when pronounced in Taiwanese, carry the same meanings. Dining here is quite special; on an empty stomach, you first drink three bowls of soup. After consuming the soup, the reactions produced by the absorption of its medicinal properties can help determine your health status. Healthy individuals will feel hungry, while those with excessive liver fire may feel nauseous. Each person will have a different reaction, which is why the restaurant has thoughtfully designed an elegant and comfortable space for guests to rest. To enjoy this soup, you must make a reservation first. Each pot of soup is simmered for 8 hours with 50 types of precious medicinal herbs and rice wine, then the essence extracted from black-boned chicken is added and simmered for an additional half hour. Being able to taste it is a blessing.
