Ming Der New Village (General Village) Introduction
Mingde, located in Mingde New Village, is a street for high-ranking officers of the Navy. This area was once the officer quarters for the Japanese Navy's 11th Air Fleet, resulting in houses primarily built in a Japanese architectural style, along with spacious courtyards. Each officer's residence averages around 1 to 2 hundred pings in size. Former Japanese Prime Minister Yasuhiro Nakasone also resided in the village, which continued to be inhabited by naval officers and their families after the war, truly making it a village of generals.
