Kai Ji Dou Liu Ma Xian Xin Temple Introduction
The tranquil location of Fan She Ma Dou Liou in the bustling East Market district is dedicated to Mazu and Shennong the Great Emperor. This place was formerly known as Fan She, a traditional area of the Pingpu indigenous Hongya tribe, so Mazu here is also referred to as Fan She Ma. Historical records indicate that it was advocated for restoration by Shen Changsheng during the Daoguang period and was renovated again during the Xianfeng period.
