Douliu Church of the Holy Rosary Introduction
The origin of Catholicism in Douliu dates back to the 8th year of the Guangxu era when Wang Lingmu and Father John Hong established a mission in Douliu, marking the formal introduction of Catholicism to Douliu. The Saint Rose Catholic Church is the origin of this mission. The current church was rebuilt in 1953 under the leadership of Bishop Niu Huiqing, featuring a Baroque-style architecture with a prominent vaulted ceiling as its characteristic.
