Douliu St. Rose Catholic Church Introduction
The origin of Catholicism in Douliu began in the eighth year of the Guangxu era when Wang Lingmu and Father Johannes established a mission in Douliu, marking the formal introduction of Catholicism to Douliu. The Saint Rose Catholic Church is the origin of this mission. The current church was reconstructed in the 42nd year of the Republic by Bishop Niu Huiqing, featuring a Baroque-style architecture with a tall vaulted ceiling as its characteristic.
