1895 Taiwan Protectorate Memorial Park Introduction
1. Basement Memory Exhibition Space: The park features the Yiwai Memory Exhibition Hall, which mainly connects to the historical memory of the Yiwai Incident. The exhibition hall is located in a semicircular underground building on the left side of the underground level of the park, and is divided into a lobby consultation area, a permanent exhibition area, and a special exhibition (screening) area. The lobby consultation area serves as the entrance to the permanent exhibition and is equipped with a service counter, lobby resting benches, and an information display wall. The permanent exhibition area includes sections on the introduction to the First Sino-Japanese War, the timeline of the Yiwai Campaign, the Taiwanese people in 1895 and the historical background, the Battle of Daanwei, the Battle of Anping, the Battle of Longtanpei, the Battle of Dakengkan, the Battlefield Imagery Area, the Memorial Wall for the names of righteous citizens, the Hakka Literature Area, and the Prayer Interactive Area; the special exhibition area mainly screens documentary films related to the 1895 Yiwai Campaign. 2. Parking Lot: The parking area includes 183 car parking spaces and 36 motorcycle parking spaces. 3. Park: Equipped with inclusive playground equipment, it is the best place for family leisure and entertainment. 4. Visitor Service Center: Provides consultation and other services for visitors.
