Agricultural Products Pavilion Introduction
Combining the characteristics of agriculture universities, industry features, and production and marketing centers, as well as rice paddy paintings, Pingtung's agricultural cultural features are fully displayed. In order to provide a resting space for tourists traveling from north to south, and to purchase more of Pingtung's agricultural and fisheries products, this agricultural exhibition center was built under the concept of "Rice Station," with hopes of attracting more visitors in the future and creating higher output value. The first floor features the exhibition center, the second floor is dedicated to the agriculture university, and the third floor is an observation area for painted rice paddies, each filled with Pingtung's agricultural cultural characteristics, demonstrating the efforts invested by the county government over the years. The exhibition center is adjacent to the Pingtung interchange, fulfilling the function of a Rice Station, providing a resting space for tourists traveling in both directions. The building integrates surrounding elements such as characteristic fruit dolls, rice paddy landscapes, scenic grass slopes, and green plaza, connecting the central courtyard green space to photo spots at the observation deck, creating a local specialty exhibition and sales center for Pingtung. The overall planning and design have also received recognition from the National Excellent Construction Award. To ensure that Pingtung's agricultural and fishery specialties can become the best souvenirs, and to cooperate with the agriculture university on the second floor, the exhibition center was established, hoping to serve as the best marketing platform for Pingtung's new agriculture in the future. The third floor will serve as an open space, turning agriculture into landscape art creations, with regular seasonal rice paddy paintings in spring and autumn. The second floor of the exhibition center will also become the base for the agriculture university, encouraging participants to share and build their own brands to move forward toward their dreams. The agricultural exhibition center spans three floors, with a total area of 1,573 ping, making it the largest in the country. The first floor features the sales of Pingtung's agricultural products, the second floor hosts the "Delicious Pingtung" special exhibition and the agriculture university training center, and visitors can view the colorful rice paddies simultaneously on the corridors of the second and third floors. The opening of the center combines events like the Art of Bonsai and Stone Pot Exhibition, with artistic bonsai arrangements on every floor, creating a strong cultural and artistic atmosphere. The design of the colorful rice paddy patterns incorporates elements of Pingtung's local culture, integrating local landscape features such as Dawu Mountain, Eluanbi Lighthouse, black marlin, Little Liuqiu, and Dapeng Bay, represented with black, purple, yellow, white, and green rice paddies, showcasing the agricultural soft power of Pingtung through three-dimensional transformation technology.
