Agricultural Products Exhibition Hall Introduction
Integrating the agricultural university, industrial characteristics, a production and marketing center, and even rice paddy art, Pingtung completely showcases its agricultural cultural features. To provide a resting space for travelers coming from north and south while purchasing more local agricultural and fishery products, the concept of the "Rice Station" has been employed to construct this product hall, with hopes of attracting more visitors in the future and creating higher economic value. The first floor features the product hall, the second floor houses the agricultural university, and the third floor offers a viewing area for the painted rice fields. Each space is filled with Pingtung's agricultural cultural characteristics, reflecting years of effort from the county government. Adjacent to the Pingtung interchange, the product hall fulfills the function of the Rice Station, providing resting areas for travelers. The building incorporates elements such as local fruit sculptures, rice field landscapes, grassy slopes, and green belt plazas, connecting the central green space to picturesque photo spots on the viewing platform. This creates a local product exhibition and sales center that represents Pingtung's unique features, and the overall design has received recognition from the National Excellent Construction Award. In order to make Pingtung County's agricultural and fishery products excellent souvenirs, and in conjunction with the agricultural university on the second floor, the product hall was established. It aims to serve as the best marketing platform for new agriculture in Pingtung, with the third floor designed as an open space that transforms agriculture into landscape art. Additionally, rice paddy paintings will be conducted regularly in spring and autumn. The second floor will also become a base for the agricultural university, encouraging participants to share and build their own brands, progressing towards their dreams. The agricultural product hall consists of three floors, totaling 1,573 ping (approximately 5,215 square meters), making it the largest in the country. The first floor sells local agricultural products, while the second floor hosts the special exhibition "Delicious Pingtung" and serves as a training center for the agricultural university, where visitors can view the painted rice fields from the corridors on the second and third floors. The grand opening combines artistic bonsai exhibitions, with each floor adorned with artistic bonsai displays, creating a rich cultural atmosphere. The design of the painted rice field patterns incorporates elements from Pingtung's local culture, integrating local landscape features such as Dawu Mountain, Eluanbi Lighthouse, black tuna, Xiaoliuqiu, and Dapeng Bay, represented through rice in five colors: black, purple, yellow, white, and green. This uses three-dimensional graphic transformation technology to showcase Pingtung's agricultural soft power.
