Agricultural Products Hall Introduction
Combining National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, industrial characteristics, a production and marketing center, and even rice field painting, the agricultural cultural features of Pingtung are fully displayed. In order to provide a resting space for tourists traveling north and south and to promote more Pingtung agricultural and fishery specialties, this production center has been built under the concept of "Station of Rice." It hopes to attract more visitors in the future and create higher production value. The first floor features the production center, the second floor houses the agricultural university, and the third floor offers a viewing area for the painted rice fields, all filled with the agricultural cultural characteristics of Pingtung and reflecting years of effort from the county government. The production center is located next to the Pingtung Interchange, fulfilling the function of the Station of Rice by providing a resting area for tourists. The building incorporates surrounding characteristic elements such as fruit figurines, rice field landscapes, grassy slopes, and green spaces, linking the central green area to the photo-taking platform, creating a local specialty production and marketing center for Pingtung. The overall planning and design have received recognition from the National Excellent Construction Award. To ensure that Pingtung County's agricultural and fishery specialties can be the best souvenirs, and to collaborate with the agricultural university on the second floor, the production center was established, hoping to serve as the best marketing platform for Pingtung's new agriculture in the future. The third floor will serve as an open space to transform agriculture into landscape art, and there will also be regular rice field paintings in the spring and autumn seasons. The second floor of the production center will also serve as a base for the agricultural university, encouraging students to share and create their own brands, moving forward towards their dreams. The agricultural production center consists of three floors, covering a total area of 1,573 ping, making it the largest in the country. The first floor sells Pingtung's specialty agricultural products, the second floor features the special exhibition "Rich Flavors of Pingtung" and the agricultural university training center, while tourists on the second and third floor corridors can simultaneously view the colorful rice fields. The opening of the center includes activities featuring bonsai exhibitions, with artistic potted plants displayed on each floor, creating a strong artistic atmosphere. The design of the rice field painting pattern incorporates elements of Pingtung's local culture and features, merging local landscapes such as Dawu Mountain, Eluanbi Lighthouse, black marlin, Xiao Liuqiu, and Dapeng Bay, presented in rice of black, purple, yellow, white, and green colors, showcasing Pingtung's agricultural soft power through three-dimensional transformation techniques.
