Agricultural Products Pavilion Introduction
The agricultural culture of Pingtung is fully showcased through the integration of National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, industry characteristics, a production and marketing center, and even rice paddy paintings. To provide a resting space for tourists traveling from north to south and to promote more of Pingtung’s agricultural and fishery products, the concept of “Rice Station” was adopted to build this agricultural product hall, hoping to attract more visitors in the future and create higher value. The first floor features the agricultural product hall, the second floor accommodates the university, and the third floor is an area for appreciating painted rice paddies, all filled with the distinctive agricultural culture of Pingtung, reflecting the efforts invested by the county government over the years. The product hall is located next to the Pingtung interchange, serving as a resting space for tourists traveling from north to south, incorporating elements like surrounding fruit figurines, rice paddy landscapes, scenic grass slopes, and green belt plazas, connecting the central green area to photo spots on the viewing platform, creating a local agricultural product exhibition and sales center unique to Pingtung. The overall planning and design also received recognition through the National Excellent Construction Award. In order to turn the agricultural and fishery products of Pingtung County into the best souvenirs, and along with the second floor’s agricultural university, the product hall was established, expecting to serve as the best marketing platform for new agriculture in Pingtung, while the third floor serves as an open space for transforming agriculture into landscape art, with regular rice paddy paintings planned for the spring and autumn seasons. The second floor of the product hall will also become a base for the agricultural university, encouraging participants to share and create their own brands as they move towards their dreams. The agricultural product hall consists of three floors, covering a total area of 1,573 ping, making it the largest in the country. The first floor sells high-quality agricultural products from Pingtung, the second floor hosts the “Delicious Pingtung” special exhibition and agricultural university training center, while visitors can simultaneously appreciate the painted rice paddies from the corridors on the second and third floors. The opening will feature activities such as bonsai exhibitions with artistic arrangements on each floor, creating a strong cultural and artistic atmosphere. The design of the rice paddy painting patterns incorporates elements of Pingtung's local culture and natural features, including Dapeng Mountain, Eluanbi Lighthouse, black marlin, Xiao Liuqiu, and Dapeng Bay, presented in black, purple, yellow, white, and green colors, showcasing the agricultural soft power of Pingtung through a three-dimensional conversion technique.
