Yuan Dao Guanyin Temple Introduction
Yuan Dao Guanyin Temple is located in Tamsui, New Taipei City, featuring serene landscapes reminiscent of a paradise, where visitors can gaze at the beautiful sunset over the Taiwan Strait as well as the stunning views of Mount Datun and Qixing Mountain. Immersing oneself in this environment brings a sense of peace and relaxation. The temple is built in a Tang-style architecture, exuding a natural antiquity amidst the elegant forested valley. The outdoor area is lush with greenery, featuring waterfalls, small bridges, flowing streams, and walking paths, along with the world's first garden of thirty-three Guanyin stone sculptures. In recent years, the temple has been constructing the "Tamsui • Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva Statue with a Thousand Hands and Eyes," which set a Guinness World Record in 2019 for the "Largest Steel Sculpture," becoming a new landmark in Taiwan. Public transport information: Take the Tamsui MRT Line to "Hongshulin Station," transfer to the Tamsui Light Rail to "Xinshi 1st Rd Station," and walk north for about 50 meters to reach the "Bodhi Progress Station" of Yuan Dao Guanyin Temple, where a free shuttle bus takes approximately 10 minutes to arrive at the temple.
