Yuan Dao Guanyin Temple Introduction
Yuan Dao Guanyin Temple is located in Tamsui, New Taipei City, and boasts a serene and picturesque environment reminiscent of a paradise on earth. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the sunset over the Taiwan Strait and the beautiful horizon, or take in the stunning vistas of Mount Datun and Qixing Mountain. The temple, designed in a Tang dynasty architectural style, exudes a rustic charm amid the elegant forested valley. The outdoor area is lush with greenery, featuring waterfalls, small bridges over flowing water, and scenic walking paths, as well as the world's first garden with thirty-three Guanyin stone sculptures. Recently, the temple has been constructing the "Tamsui • Thousand-Hand and Thousand-Eye Guanyin Statue," which was awarded the title of "Largest Steel Sculpture" by the Guinness World Records in 2019, becoming a new landmark in Taiwan. Public transportation information: Take the Taipei Metro Tamsui Line to "Hongshulin Station," then transfer to the Tamsui Light Rail to "New City One Road Station." From there, walk north for about 50 meters to reach the "Bodhi Jinjin Station" of Yuan Dao Guanyin Temple, where a free shuttle bus will take you to the temple in about 10 minutes.
