Fanpo Lin Tourist Flower Garden Introduction
During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, Xibanli was a settlement of the Pingpu people, where men often went out hunting, resulting in a community predominantly made up of women, which led to the name "Fanbolin" for the land. In the Fanbolin Scenic Flower Garden, flowers bloom throughout the seasons. From December to May, delicate yellow and sweet-scented Spathiphyllum, symbolizing purity and innocence, quietly blossom; from April to June, water lilies, known as the flower of love, bloom in purple and white, showcasing their beauty and suitability for pot cultivation. The garden features many species of anthurium, including common white anthurium known for its elegant qualities, as well as yellow, pink, purple, light pink, and deep red varieties, all blooming freely. The garden is a riot of colors with various shades of yellow, orange, red, pink, peach, white, and light yellow straw flowers, whose paper-like petals are ideal for pressed flowers or dried arrangements, and are known for their long-lasting features, earning the nickname "everlasting flowers." Visitors can pick various flower buds and, with guidance from the farm staff, create DIY bouquets using wire to take home; these flowers can last at least a year without withering, resembling real artificial flowers. Additionally, the farm grows various organic vegetables for a delicious feast, with yam dumplings highly recommended. The farm also offers a variety of DIY activities suitable for families and groups, but advance reservations are necessary. While walking in the farm, visitors can play in the nearby creek or catch loaches in the pond area, and sometimes witness flocks of white egrets, creating an illusion of returning to the early agrarian society of Taiwan.
