Fanpo Lin Tourist Flower Garden Introduction
During the Jiaqing period, Xibanli was a settlement of the Pingpu people, where men often went hunting, leaving mostly women in the village, which led to the land designation of "Fanbolin." The Fanbolin Scenic Garden is filled with blooming flowers throughout the four seasons. From December to May, you can find the pure and innocent small freesia quietly blooming here, with bright yellow color and a sweet fragrance; from April to June, there are the Calla Lilies, known as love flowers, in both purple and white, looking stunning and suitable for pot cultivation. The main type of flower here is the Arum Lily, which includes the common white Arum Lily that is cherished for its elegant qualities, as well as various colors like yellow, lavender, pink, and deep red, all blooming vibrantly. The garden is filled with various colors of straw daisies, including yellow, orange, red, pink, peach, white, and light yellow; their petals are paper-like, making them ideal for pressed flowers or dried flowers, with a particularly long flowering period, earning them the title of "everlasting flowers." Visitors can pick different flower buds and, with guidance from farm staff, create DIY bouquets using iron wire to take home, with the flowers lasting at least a year, resembling "real" artificial flowers. Additionally, the farm cultivates various organic vegetables for a delightful treat. Noteworthy is the yam glutinous rice balls. The farm also offers a variety of DIY activities, perfect for families and groups, and reservations by phone are recommended. While walking through the farm, visitors can also enjoy playing in the nearby stream or catch mudfish in the ponds within the garden, where one can sometimes see flocks of egrets, evoking a sense of returning to the early agricultural society of Taiwan.
