Jinxiu Zhuang Cultural Park Introduction
The Jinxiuzhuang Cultural Park is located in the Wayaokeng area of Tamsui, covering an area of more than 2,000 square meters. The park is lush with green grass, blooming flowers, and majestic trees. The owner has dedicated 32 years to carefully building this place, perfectly combining rare stone sculptures from his collection with the existing landscape. Pavilions, ponds, underground passages, stone stairways, poetry and calligraphy, Buddhist and lion statues, represent a fusion of ancient and modern elements, creating a space that embodies craftsmanship aesthetics, natural ecology, and leisure recreation—an open-air museum. Wayaokeng was once famous for its brick kilns in Tamsui, which gradually disappeared over time due to changes in the era. This mysterious estate, located in Wayaokeng, used to be a sloped area and still has remnants of ancient military bases and tunnels from the Japanese colonial period. Through careful planning and construction by the owner, various materials and existing structures have been seamlessly integrated, forming the landscape seen today. The design within the garden includes pavilions, ponds, viewing platforms, streams, gardening, pathways, and farmland. Additionally, personal collections of Buddhist statues, stone lion sculptures, and stone crafts are displayed throughout the park. In 2021, after Mr. Zhuang Wunan's continued development over two to three decades, the Jinxiuzhuang Cultural Park officially transformed into a cultural park, with an elaborate opening ceremony held on April 17. A two-story exquisite exhibition space is planned within the park, suitable for displaying both two-dimensional and three-dimensional exhibits. The chairman of the estate dedicated the first exhibition of the park's opening to members of the artisans’ association he leads, allowing these living national treasures, local craft registrants, and members with remarkable craftsmanship to witness the results of their enduring efforts over the years. In the future, the park will also be open for visits to share the beauty of pavilions, unique garden stones, and stream pathways with the public, while arranging various thematic art and cultural exhibitions to spread beauty in every corner of the estate, allowing visitors to experience tranquility and the splendor of cultural feasts.
