Huaxi Street Tourist Night Market Introduction

"Anyone want to eat snake gallbladder or drink snake blood?" This phrase is usually only heard at the Huaxi Street Night Market. The Huaxi Street Night Market is Taiwan's first tourist night market, located near Longshan Temple in Taipei. It is primarily known for selling a variety of mountain products, seafood, and wild game snacks, making it one of the most beloved attractions for both domestic and international tourists. As dusk falls, you can often see visitors holding travel guides in search of culinary delights. Originally famous for snake-catching performances, it was known as "Snake Street." Nowadays, with a growing awareness of conservation, most of the vendors have transformed to offer healthy snake dishes that challenge diners' courage. The traditional Chinese archway at the entrance of the night market and the red lanterns along the way are unique features. Many of the shops are long-established, with over 30 years of history, ensuring both reputation and quality. Some of the many delicious offerings include Burnt Rice Cake from Beigang Sweet Soup, Rice Noodle Soup from Yong Bo, Goose Meat from Han Ji, Braised Pork Rice from A Yi, and Traditional Mixed Noodles from A E, among others. These traditional snacks are reminiscent of dishes made by our grandmothers, each one a delicious taste of nostalgia. We welcome you to come and taste them yourself!
