Huaxi Street Night Market Introduction
"Who wants to eat snake gallbladder or drink snake blood?" This phrase is typically found only in Huaxi Street Night Market. Huaxi Street Night Market is the first tourist night market in Taiwan, located near Longshan Temple in Taipei. It primarily sells a variety of mountain products, seafood, and exotic snacks, making it one of the favorite attractions for tourists from both domestic and abroad. Every evening, it is common to see visitors holding travel guides in search of delicious food. In the past, this place was famous for snake-catching performances and was known as "Snake Street." Nowadays, under the awareness of conservation, most shops have transformed into health-focused snake cuisine, challenging diners' courage. The traditional Chinese archway at the entrance of the night market and the red lanterns along the way are unique features. Many shops are older establishments, with over 30 years of history, balancing reputation and quality. Among the many delicious foods are Beigang sweet soup's fried mochi, Yongbo's rice noodle soup, Han Ji's shredded goose, Ayi's braised pork rice, and A-er's traditional mixed noodles... and so many more. These traditional snacks, reminiscent of grandma's home cooking, are all delightful flavors worth remembering. We welcome you to come and taste them in person!
