The Old Site of Taiwan Shin Sheng Daily News Introduction

Originally the Taiwan Nichinichi Shinpo newspaper office, it was formed by the merger of two Japanese newspapers, Taiwan Shinbun and Taiwan Nichi Nichi Shimbun. It was the largest newspaper at that time and had the longest publication period. On October 26, 1945, Li Wanju, representing the Governor-General's Office, took over Taiwan Shinbun and renamed it Taiwan Shinsei Shimbun, which was the only official newspaper at that time. During the February 28 Incident in 1947, the general manager of the newspaper, Ruan Zhaori, and the editor-in-chief of the Japanese version, Wu Jinlian, were forcibly taken away by agents from the Taiwan Provincial Government and their fates remain unknown to this day.
