Old Site of Taiwan New Life News Introduction

Originally the Taiwan Nichinichi Shimbun newspaper office, it was formed by the merger of the Taiwan Shinbun and the Taiwan Nichibun, becoming the largest and longest-running newspaper at that time. On October 26, 1945, Li Wan-ju, representing the Governor-General's Office, took over the Taiwan Shinbun and renamed it the Taiwan New Life News, which was the only official newspaper at that time. During the February 28 Incident in 1947, the newspaper's general manager, Ruan Chao-rip, and the Japanese edition's chief editor, Wu Jin-lian, were forcibly taken away by agents from the Taiwan Provincial Governor's Office, and their fates remain unknown to this day.
