Lushan Recreation Area Introduction
Luoshan Recreation Area is known for its mud volcano landscape, handmade tofu, and Luoshan Waterfall. When visiting Luoshan Recreation Area, you can not only experience making tofu using the brine from the mud volcano but also enjoy the view of Luoshan Waterfall from the nearby Luoshan Big Fish Pond. Walking along the trails allows you to appreciate the wonders of the mud volcano and unique coastal plants, experiencing the marvels of nature. Luoshan Waterfall, formed by the fault topography of the Coastal Mountain Range, is about 120 meters high and has two tiers, with abundant water flow and an impressive spectacle. From a distance, Luoshan Waterfall appears like a thin silver chain hanging between lush mountain walls, and to the west, the plain of the Hwa-Dong Valley comes into view, showcasing the rustic scenery of Luoshan Organic Village. Near Luoshan Waterfall, the mud volcano is locally referred to as "Salt Flat," and the mud that erupts contains gas and has a salty taste. Therefore, the residents of Luoshan Village have long known to collect the gas from the mud volcano as fuel for boiling water and cooking, and they use the brine from the mud volcano to make handmade tofu, resulting in tofu that is dense and firm, making it a must-try delicacy when visiting Luoshan. ▼360-degree panoramic video of Hualien Luoshan Recreation Area | Hualien Luoshan Recreation Area
