Therefore, residents of Lo Shan Village have long known to collect the gas released from the mud volcano as fuel for boiling water and cooking. They also use the brine from the mud volcano to make handmade tofu, resulting in a dense and firm texture, which has become a must-try delicacy in Lo Shan.
