Luoshan Recreation Area Introduction
Luoshan Recreation Area is renowned for its mud volcano landscape, handmade tofu, and Luoshan Waterfall. Visitors to Luoshan Recreation Area can not only experience making tofu using the stews from the mud volcano but also enjoy views of Luoshan Waterfall from the nearby Luoshan Big Fish Pond. Walking along the trails provides an opportunity to admire the wonders of the mud volcano and the unique coastal plants, allowing one to feel the marvels of nature. Luoshan Waterfall, formed by the fault topography of the Coastal Mountain Range, is approximately 120 meters high and consists of upper and lower tiers, with abundant water flow and an impressive sight. From a distance, Luoshan Waterfall resembles a fine silver chain hanging between lush green cliffs; to the west, one can gaze upon the picturesque Hualien-Taitung Valley Plain, with the charming rural scenery of Luoshan Organic Village laid out before them. The mud volcano near Luoshan Waterfall is referred to by locals as "Salt Flat," and the mud that erupts contains gas as well as a salty flavor. Therefore, the residents of Luoshan Village have long known how to collect the gas emitted from the mud volcano for use as fuel for boiling water and cooking rice, and they also use the brine from the mud volcano to make handmade tofu, resulting in a dense and firm texture that has become a must-try delicacy when visiting Luoshan. ▼Hualien Luoshan Recreation Area 360-degree panoramic video | Hualien Luoshan Recreation Area
