Lushan Recreation Area Introduction
Luoshan Recreation Area is known for its mud volcano landscapes, handmade tofu, and Luoshan Waterfall. When visiting Luoshan Recreation Area, you can personally experience making tofu using the brine from the mud volcano, and also gaze at the Luoshan Waterfall from the nearby Luoshan Big Fish Pond. Walking along the trails allows you to admire the wonders of the mud volcanoes and unique coastal vegetation, while experiencing the marvels of nature. The Luoshan Waterfall is formed by the fault topography of the Coastal Mountain Range, standing about 120 meters high, with upper and lower tiers, featuring abundant water flow and a stunning spectacle. From afar, the Luoshan Waterfall appears like a thin silver chain hanging between the lush mountain walls, and to the west, you can overlook the Hualien-Taitung Valley Plain, where the rustic scenery of the Luoshan Organic Village is fully revealed. Near the Luoshan Waterfall, the local residents call the mud volcano "Salt Flat," and the mud ejected contains gas and also has a salty taste. Therefore, the residents of Luoshan Village have long known to collect the gas ejected from the mud volcano to use as fuel for boiling water and cooking, and they also utilize the brine from the mud volcano to make handmade tofu, resulting in tofu that is dense and firm, making it a must-try delicacy when visiting Luoshan. ▼Hualien Luoshan Recreation Area 360-degree panoramic video | Hualien Luoshan Recreation Area
