Seven Holes Waterfall Introduction
The Qikeng Waterfall Group is located in the Kadulu River in the northern part of the Hengchun Peninsula. The seven-layered waterfalls are stacked upon one another, surrounded by dense primeval forest, making it an excellent place for waterfall appreciation, river tracing, hiking, and enjoying the beauty of the wilderness. Due to the significant height difference, the waterfall's flowing water has long eroded the riverbed, creating pools of varying depths, which locals refer to as "kòng," hence the name "Qikeng" (Seven Holes). The entrance to the Qikeng Waterfall is at the Chunhing Bridge on County Road No. 200. After crossing the Duxing Bridge No. 1, it takes about 2 kilometers to reach the ticket office. After walking along the trail for about 8 minutes, visitors will see the first waterfall, which is approximately 10 meters high and cascades spectacularly over stones. After passing the second waterfall, one can see the continuous waterfalls of the third to fifth layers. Continuing forward, visitors can reach the sixth layer and finally the seventh waterfall. Exploring the entire waterfall takes about 30 minutes, providing a unique experience. After visiting the Qikeng Waterfall Group, it is also possible to connect with nearby scenic spots such as Jialeshui, Feng Chui Sha, and coastal attractions in Kenting.
