Jichao Cultural Story House Introduction
Piao Yi is a family-owned tea business that has a 12-hectare high mountain tea garden in Nantou, Taiwan. It is also the first professional manufacturer in Taiwan's tea ware industry to receive the Taiwan Excellence and Good Design Product certifications. The company recognized that many young people and foreign visitors find the traditional Chinese tea brewing methods complicated, and thus increasingly distance themselves from the healthiest form of loose leaf tea. In response, it launched the world's first easy-to-brew tea vessel, the "Piao Yi Cup," in 1984. In 1987, the cup participated in the Japan International Invention Expo (World Genius Expo) and won a gold medal.
