Jiali Mountain Trail Introduction
Jiali Mountain is known as the "Mount Fuji of Taiwan." The trail is approximately 5800 meters long; the first half has a gentle slope and features a special "water pipe trail," remnants of a small railway used for transporting timber in the past, and the crystal-clear Fengmei Stream, creating a unique landscape. The second half is the most challenging part, with rocky paths and steep slopes tangled with the roots of ancient trees. When standing at the summit, gazing at the distant mist and beautiful mountain scenery, the hardships of the journey become insignificant. Trail length (m): 5800m. Walking time (min): 1 day. Main stops along the way: The Jiali Mountain Trail connects Nanjian's Penglai, Fengmei, and Luchang. Along the route, one can see the railway tracks from the timber harvesting era, witnessing the prosperity of the forestry industry back then. At the summit, there is a first-order triangulation point with a broad view, offering a distant sight of the majestic Xueshan range and the nearby Luchang Mountain.
