Jialishan Trail Introduction

Jiali Mountain is known as the "Fuji Mountain of Taiwan." The trail is approximately 5,800 meters long; the first half has a gentle slope, featuring a unique "water pipe road," remnants of an early railway used for transporting timber, and the crystal-clear Fengmei Stream, creating a distinctive landscape. The second half is the most challenging, with boulder-strewn paths and steep inclines with twisted old tree roots. When standing at the summit and gazing at the distant mist and beautiful mountain views, the hardships of the journey become trivial. Trail length (M): 5,800m; Walking time (minutes): 1 day. Main points along the trail: The Jiali Mountain Trail connects Nanwan's Penglai, Fengmei, and Luchang. Along the way, one can see the railway tracks from the logging period, a testimony to the prosperous forestry of that time. At the summit, there is a first-order triangulation point with a broad view, offering a distant sight of the magnificent Xueshan Sacred Ridge and the nearby Luchang Mountain.
