Longzitou Introduction
Near the source to the water gate, looking back at the Bagua Mountain Range, one can see a prominent hillside known as "Longzitou," which stands tall and elegant, with clear valley folds. The presence of Longzitou contrasts beautifully with the surrounding flat fields and meandering streams. Behind Longzitou is an area of over 90 hectares designated as the "Taiwanese Macaque Protected Area" by the Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan, with approximately a hundred individuals currently residing there. Note: The "Taiwanese Macaque Protected Area" was designated in 1981 and was abolished in July 2006, reverting to managed forestry land.
