Longzatou Introduction
Near the spring to the water gate, when looking out over the past Bagua Mountain Range, you can see a prominent hill, tall and elegant, with distinct valley folds—this is "Dragon Head". The standing of Dragon Head complements the nearby flat fields and winding streams beautifully. Behind Dragon Head, there is an area of about 90 hectares designated as the "Taiwan Macaque Protected Area" by the Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan, with approximately a hundred individuals currently. Note: The "Taiwan Macaque Protected Area" was designated in 1981, and the protection area was abolished in July 2006, returning to management as a protective forest.
