Sock King Tourist Factory Introduction
Sheng Hong Sock Factory transformed into a tourist factory in 2011, offering DIY sock puppet creation and showcasing traditional sock knitting machines. It provides an opportunity for the public to learn about the knowledge and process of sock manufacturing, as well as a deeper understanding of Taiwan's traditional sock industry, from handcrafting to fully mechanized production. The factory also sells a wide variety of products, and visitors can immediately inquire with staff about any questions. After explanations from the staff, they can find a suitable and comfortable pair of socks. In addition to selling socks, many new products have been developed. Notably, during the flag-raising ceremony at the Presidential Office in 2010, the scarf used by the President sporting the national flag brought significant attention to Sheng Hong Sock Factory. Currently, Sheng Hong Sock Factory has designed more creative and Taiwan-symbolizing scarves and other products, all of which are also displayed and sold in the tourist factory.
