Sock King Tourist Factory Introduction
Sheng Hung Sock Weaving transformed into a tourist factory in 2011. Inside, it offers DIY sock doll creation and displays traditional sock weaving machines, allowing the public to gain insights into the knowledge and processes of sock production from handmade to fully automated manufacturing. Visitors can also develop a deeper understanding of Taiwan's traditional sock industry. The factory sells a variety of products, and if there are any questions on-site, visitors can immediately consult the staff. After an explanation from the staff, visitors can find suitable and comfortable socks for themselves. In addition to selling socks, many new products have been developed. In 2010, during the flag-raising ceremony at the Presidential Office, the president used a national flag scarf that helped bring Sheng Hung Sock Weaving into the spotlight. Currently, Sheng Hung Sock Weaving has designed more creative and Taiwan-representative scarves and other products, all of which are also exhibited in the tourist factory.
