Sock King Tourist Factory Introduction
Sheng Hong Sock Factory transformed into a tourist factory in 2011. It offers DIY sock doll creation and showcases traditional sock knitting machines, allowing visitors to understand the knowledge and process of sock manufacturing from handcrafting to fully automated production. This provides a deeper insight into Taiwan's traditional sock industry. The factory also offers a wide variety of products for sale, and visitors can immediately inquire with staff if they have any questions. After explanations from the staff, they can find comfortable and suitable socks for themselves. In addition to selling socks, many new products have been developed. Notably, the national flag scarf used by the president during the flag-raising ceremony at the Presidential Office in 2010 helped popularize Sheng Hong Socks. Currently, Sheng Hong Sock Factory has also designed more creative products, including symbolic scarves representing Taiwan, all of which are available for sale in the tourist factory.
