Sock King Tourist Factory Introduction
Sheng Hong Sock Weaving Factory transformed into a tourist factory in 2011. It offers DIY sock puppet creation and showcases traditional sock weaving machines, allowing visitors to understand the knowledge and process of sock manufacturing from handmade to fully automated production. It provides a deeper insight into Taiwan's traditional sock industry. The factory also sells a wide variety of products, and if visitors have any questions, they can immediately ask the staff. After explanations from the staff, visitors can find suitable and comfortable socks. In addition to selling socks, the factory has developed many new products. In 2010, during the flag-raising ceremony at the Presidential Office, the president used a national flag scarf made by Sheng Hong Sock Weaving Factory, which gained it popularity. Currently, the factory has also designed more creative scarves and other products that symbolize Taiwan, all of which are displayed and sold in the tourist factory.
