Qingye Tribe Introduction
Qingye Village is located on Provincial Highway 185. At the entrance of the village, you can see stream stones and an image of a group of butterflies spreading their wings. Following this imagery into the village, you will find a beautiful Rukai village. Legend has it that the village, after several relocations over 400 years, finally settled at its current location in the 29th year of the Republic of China. The youth initiated a call to action, actively transforming the village, drawing strength from their ancestors' stories and showcasing their own stories on the walls of their houses. Each home is vibrantly painted, and there is a female artist in the village who has created a striking butterfly window and a butterfly wall on her property. Upon entering Qingye Elementary School, special butterfly stairs have been made to connect with the village. A visit to Qingye Village feels like strolling through an outdoor art gallery, where each home's wall tells the story of its ancestors. It is recommended to spend about 2-3 hours there, and you can book a guided tour through the Community Development Association to learn more about the beauty of Qingye Village.
