New Wei Scenic Bridge Introduction
The New Wei Scenic Bridge is located at kilometer 45 of the Taiwan Provincial Highway 28. It spans the Laonong River connecting both banks, situated between the Liouguei Bridge and the Datun Bridge, linking Provincial Highway 28 and Provincial Highway 27. This bridge primarily facilitates transportation between Meinong, Liouguei, and Maolin in Kaohsiung City, as well as Gaoshu and Datun in Pingtung County, reducing travel time within Kaohsiung City. The bridge features a cantilevered steel arch design, specifically designed in the shape of a purple butterfly.
