New Wei Scenic Bridge Introduction
The New Weiwuying Scenic Bridge is located at the 45 km mark of Provincial Highway No. 28, spanning the Laonong River. It connects the Liuqiu Bridge and the Dazhu Bridge, linking Provincial Highway No. 28 and Provincial Highway No. 27. This bridge mainly facilitates transportation between Meinong, Liuqiu, and Maolin in Kaohsiung City, as well as Gao-Shu and Dazhu in Pingtung County, reducing travel time across various areas of Kaohsiung City. The bridge features an outward-leaning steel arch design, specially designed to resemble the form of the purple butterfly.
