Dona Bridge Introduction

The Duona High Suspension Bridge is located between Wanshan and Duona on Longtou Mountain, with a total length of 232 meters and a height of 103 meters, spanning the Zhuokou Stream. It is acclaimed as the highest suspension bridge in Southeast Asia. During the Japanese colonial period, due to the aggressive policies towards the indigenous people, intense conflicts arose, and the remote Duona tribe was never conquered. Therefore, the Japanese proposed the construction of this bridge "in the name of peace" to transport food, but in reality, it was to facilitate the implementation of the indigenous policy. For the people of Duona, this bridge holds significant meaning, serving as a place of farewell for family members, lovers, and friends. To view Longtou Mountain from a different perspective on the bridge, one must follow the directional signs to reach the Duona High Suspension Bridge. Enjoy a panoramic view between Longtou and Longji. The bridge was rebuilt in 1998, carrying historical significance, making it worth your visit. It is recommended to spend about 1.5 hours here. The Duona High Suspension Bridge has a maximum capacity of 100 people and prohibits motor vehicles from crossing. Cars can be parked at the nearby parking lot at the Wanshan end of the bridge.
