Dona Gaoh Suspended Bridge Introduction

The Donna High Suspension Bridge is located between Wanshan and Donna on Longtou Mountain, with a length of 232 meters and a height of 103 meters, spanning across Zhuokou Creek. It is known as the highest suspension bridge in Southeast Asia. During the Japanese colonial period, due to the aggressive indigenous policy, intense conflicts broke out, and the remote Donna tribe remained unconquered. Therefore, the Japanese proposed the construction of the bridge under the pretext of "peace and war" to transport food, but in fact, it was meant to enforce their policies. For the residents of Donna, this bridge holds great significance as it symbolizes the emotional connections between family members, lovers, and friends. To enjoy a different perspective of Longtou Mountain from the suspension bridge, one must follow the directional signs of the Donna High Suspension Bridge to walk onto the bridge, where you can appreciate the panoramic view between Longtou and Longji. The bridge was rebuilt in 1998 and carries historical significance, making it worth a personal visit. The recommended stay is about 1.5 hours. The bridge has a maximum capacity of 100 people, and all motor vehicles are prohibited from crossing. Cars can be parked at the parking lot near the Wanshan end of the bridge.
