Dona Bridge Introduction
The Donna High Suspension Bridge is located between Wanshan and Donna in Longtou Mountain, with a total length of 232 meters and a height of 103 meters, spanning the Zhuokou River. It is known as the highest suspension bridge in Southeast Asia. During the Japanese occupation, due to the aggressive native policy that sparked intense conflict, the remote Donna tribe was never conquered, leading the Japanese to propose the construction of the bridge under the guise of transporting food, aiming to facilitate their policy. For the people of Donna, this bridge holds great significance as a sentimental bridge for farewells between family members, loved ones, and friends. To view Longtou Mountain from another angle on the bridge, one must follow the directional signs leading to the Donna High Suspension Bridge in order to access it and enjoy the panoramic view between Longtou and Longji. The bridge was rebuilt in 1998 and contains traces of history, making it worth a personal visit. It is recommended to spend about 1.5 hours there. The Donna High Suspension Bridge has a weight limit of 100 people and completely prohibits the passage of motor vehicles; cars can be parked at the nearby parking lot at the Wanshan end of the bridge.
