Dona High Suspension Bridge Introduction
The bridge is 232 meters long and 103 meters high, spanning the Zhuokou Stream. It is known as the highest suspension bridge in Southeast Asia and holds significant meaning for the people of Dona Village, serving as a bridge of emotions for bidding farewell to family members, lovers, and friends. To view Longtou Mountain from a different perspective on the bridge, visitors must follow the directional signs guiding them to the Dona High Suspension Bridge. This allows for a clear appreciation of the panoramic view between Longtou and Longji, as well as the stunning scenery of the canyon and the flowing streams below the bridge. During the Japanese colonial period, the strong "Riban" policy sparked intense conflicts, and the remote Dona tribe was never conquered. Thus, the Japanese proposed the construction of the bridge under the pretense of transporting food, which was actually aimed at facilitating the implementation of the Riban policy. The bridge was rebuilt in 1998, harboring a historical trajectory that is worth visiting in person.
