Shen Mountain Culinary School Introduction
Shan Mountain Tribal Culinary School is located on Provincial Highway 24, nestled in the Shan Mountain Village of Wutai Township, surrounded by perpetual mountain mist that seems crafted by the hands of deities, creating picturesque scenery everywhere. Recently developed as a "Tribal Culinary School," it is Taiwan's first tribal culinary experience, guiding travelers into the fields to learn about familiar yet unfamiliar ingredients. Through cooking, visitors can feel the charm of the indigenous homeland. For example, the False Currant is a common wild vegetable in the village, often found in front of many houses, and is an essential ingredient in the traditional Rukai dish "Cinabu." At the Tribal Culinary School, participants can enjoy the fun of collecting ingredients and DIY cooking experiences. It is recommended to stay for at least 3 hours, and prior appointment with the community development association is necessary for the experience. A mountain entry permit is required to enter Wutai Township, and large Category A buses are prohibited from passing.
