Shan Mountain Tribal Culinary School Introduction
The Shenshan Village Culinary School is located on Provincial Highway 24, in the Shenshan Village of Wutai Township, where the mountain mist lingers year-round, creating a picturesque scenery reminiscent of fairy tales. Recently, the development of the "Village Culinary School" has become Taiwan's first indigenous culinary experience, guiding travelers into the fields to discover both familiar and unfamiliar ingredients. Starting with cooking, one can feel the charm of the homeland. For example, the false sour jujube is a common wild vegetable in the village, often found in front of many households, and is an essential ingredient in the traditional Bunun delicacy "cinabu." Entering the culinary school allows for enjoyable experiences such as gathering ingredients and DIY cooking. It is recommended to spend at least 3 hours there and to make a reservation with the Community Development Association for the experience. An entrance permit is required to enter Wutai Township, and large passenger buses are prohibited from passing.
