Wutai Natural and Cultural Ecological Scenic Area Introduction
Wutai Natural and Cultural Ecological Scenic Area is the first natural and cultural ecological scenic area in Taiwan designated for Indigenous peoples. It encompasses three villages: Alian, Shenshan, and Dawu, covering a total area of approximately 14,352,390 square meters. The area includes attractions such as the colorful rock walls of the Hayu Stream in Dawu Village, the Clouded Leopard Hot Springs, the Little Ghost Lake Trail in Alian Village, and the Shenshan Waterfall in Shenshan Village. These rich and diverse natural landscapes, imbued with the mysteries of nature, can serve as abundant resources for the development of recreational industries while preserving the environment and sustaining traditional culture. A recommended stay is about 3 hours. It is advised to contact the Wutai Township Office if you wish to visit the villages. An entry permit is required to enter Wutai Township, and entry of Class A large buses is prohibited.
