Wutai Natural and Cultural Ecological Landscape Area Introduction
Wutai Natural and Cultural Ecological Scenic Area is the first natural and cultural ecological scenic area in the indigenous region of Taiwan. It encompasses three tribes: Alishan, Shenshan, and Dawu, with a total area of approximately 14,352,390 square meters. The region includes scenic spots such as the Dawu tribe's colorful rock walls, Hayu Stream, the Clouded Leopard Hot Spring, the Alishan tribe's Xiaogui Lake Trail, and the Shenshan tribe's Shenshan Waterfall. These rich and diverse cultural landscapes, filled with the mysteries of nature, can also serve as valuable resources for recreational industry development, helping to preserve the environment and maintain traditional culture. The suggested duration of stay is about 3 hours. If you wish to visit the tribes, it is recommended to contact the Wutai Township Office. An entry permit for mountain access is required to enter Wutai Township, and type A large passenger buses are prohibited from passing through.
