Oyster Harbor Introduction
Oyster Harbor, the best place to eat oysters, is located in the low-lying coastal area of Beimen District, Tainan City. The topography is sheltered by the external Sanduo Islet, with an average tidal range of about 1 meter in both winter and summer, resulting in mild sea conditions. This fishing port was constructed utilizing the lagoon waters behind the coastal sandbank or drainage channels between fish ponds and salt fields, where the soil has a higher salt content, mainly developed for fish ponds and salt fields. The harbor area is small and has insufficient water depth, requiring larger vessels to wait for the tide to enter and exit. Strolling through this quiet, simple fishing village feels like walking in a time-forgotten frozen space. The local delicacies naturally feature oysters as the most delicious dishes, whether it's oyster omelet or oyster vermicelli, guaranteed to delight seafood lovers.
