Tourism Bureau, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, Yunlin-Chiayi-Tainan Scenic Area Management Office (including Beimen Station) Introduction
The "Yunlin-Chiayi-Tainan Coastal National Scenic Area Administration" is one of the national scenic areas under the Ministry of Transportation and Communications Tourism Bureau. The administration is located in Beimen District, Tainan City, and was formerly the office of the Tainan Salt Company’s Beimen Salt Field. The square in front of the office building is made of mosaic tiles from old salt pans used for drying salt, creating the flavor and characteristics of the salt field fishing village in the Beimen area. Within the administrative park, there is also a Japanese wooden building and surrounding historical structures. This site was formerly the "Beimen Branch Office" during the Japanese colonial period and is now operated as an art museum, providing studio residency for artists, forming the Beimen Cultural and Art Park, where artistic creation and local history can merge.
