Sicao Public Temple Introduction
Sicao Dajia Temple has a history of over 200 years and serves as the center of faith for fishermen in the Annan District. The birthday of the God of the Sea is celebrated annually on the 15th day of the 11th lunar month. Visitors to this site not only pray to the deity for family safety but can also explore the mangrove area behind the temple, which naturally forms a green tunnel on the water. This scenery not only shields from the intense sun but also blocks the cold winds, making for a warm winter and cool summer. Floating gently on a rubber raft, one can often spot egrets, night herons, and other birds flying low along the banks, drawing gasps of admiration. From March to May each year, this area also sees the migration of winter birds returning north, creating a spectacular and unforgettable sight as countless birds take to the sky.
