Sihcao Dazhong Temple has a history of over 200 years and serves as the faith center for fishermen in Sihcao, Annan District. Every year on the 15th day of the 11th lunar month, the birthday of the God of the Sea is celebrated. Visitors to this site not only worship the deity for family safety but can also explore the mangrove area along the drainage channel behind the temple, which naturally forms a green tunnel on the water. This scenery not only shields visitors from the blazing sun but also blocks the cold winds, providing warmth in winter and coolness in summer. Floating slowly on rubber rafts, one can often spot herons, night herons, and other birds flying low on both banks, eliciting gasps of wonder. From March to May each year, this area also marks the migratory season for wintering birds returning north, creating a spectacular sight of countless birds soaring in the sky, a truly unforgettable experience.
