Sicao Dazhong Temple Introduction
Sicao Dazhong Temple has a history of over 200 years and serves as a center of faith for fishermen in Sicao, Annan District. The birthday of Zhenhai Yuanjun is celebrated on the 15th day of the 11th month of the lunar calendar each year. Visitors to this area not only come to worship Dazhong Ye for family safety but also enjoy the mangrove area behind the temple, which naturally forms a green tunnel of water. This scenery not only shields visitors from the scorching sun but also blocks the cold winds, creating a warm winter and cool summer. Visitors can paddle slowly on rubber rafts, and herons, night herons, and other birds may occasionally fly low along the banks, eliciting exclamations. From March to May each year, this area is also the migration period for wintering birds returning north, and at this time, the sky over Sicao is filled with flocks of birds soaring, creating a spectacular and unforgettable scene.
