Southern Bay Visitor Center Introduction
Nestled by the mountains and adjacent to the Nanfang'ao Jingan Temple, the Nanfang'ao Visitor Center is an eco-friendly building that showcases elements of fishing village and fishing culture. This two-story structure highlights local characteristics, presenting exhibitions primarily focused on the natural ecology of the Northeast Coast and Yilan, marine culture, recreational spots, and travel information for the Su'ao and Nanfang'ao areas. Visitors can gain in-depth knowledge of the wetland ecology, fishing village culture, cold springs, and seafood delicacies, allowing them to experience the beauty and charm of Yilan. The Nanfang'ao Visitor Center is a cultural space that integrates harmoniously with the environment and makes good use of natural resources. It employs wind power and a rainwater recycling system while fully opening the surrounding windows to achieve natural ventilation and optimal lighting.
