Jiangjun Shrine Introduction

Jiangjun Residence is the residence of Lu Chengjin, who was granted the title of General of Military Merit during the late Qing Dynasty. Lu Chengjin, courtesy name Weili and alias Fenting, was born in the second year of the Daoguang period and passed away in the twentieth year of the Guangxu period. Coming from a poor family in his youth, he later joined the military and achieved success in anti-piracy operations at sea, quickly rising to a position of authority. During the Xianfeng and Tongzhi periods, Chengjin participated in the suppression of the Small Knife Society bandits who had occupied Xiamen, engaging in fierce battles at Zhonggang and Jinguimei, where he destroyed the bandits' ships. He soon retook Xiamen, eliminating remaining factions and accumulating numerous achievements as he was promoted to the position of a battalion commander in the rear camp.
