Jiangjun Fort Introduction

Jiangjun Residence is the residence of Lu Chengjin, who was granted the title of Wu Xian General during the late Qing Dynasty. Lu Chengjin, styled Weili and also known as Fenting, was born in the second year of the Daoguang Emperor's reign and passed away in the twentieth year of the Guangxu Emperor's reign. He grew up in a poor family and joined the military at a young age. He achieved merit by participating in naval operations against pirates and was quickly promoted. During the Xianfeng and Tongzhi reigns, Chengjin first participated in the suppression of the Knife Club bandits who had occupied Xiamen, engaging in fierce battles at Zhonggang and Jinguimei, almost destroying the bandit ships. Soon after, he went on to recover Xiamen and eliminated the remaining loyalists, accumulating numerous merits and being promoted to the rank of general in the rear camp.
