Luochuo Mazu Park Introduction
Luocuo Fishing Port is the only fishing port in Little Kinmen, serving as the gateway for fishermen to go out to sea. It is also the docking point for ferries and coast guard patrol boats between Little and Big Kinmen. The entire port area features playground equipment for children, and the activity center building serves as the office for the fishing association and the Little Kinmen agricultural and fishery specialty center. The Matsu deity worshipped at the Luocuo Xihu Ancient Temple is the guardian of fishermen, and the stone statue of Matsu next to the ancient temple has become a new landmark for Luocuo Fishing Port, blessing and guiding the navigation of vessels. Luocuo Matsu Park, located near Jiugong Pier and at the high point of Luocuo's back mountain, offers a fantastic view overlooking Luocuo Fishing Port and the Lienyu Dongdonglin Coastal Park beach. The park was constructed with subsidies from the Fujian Provincial Government, funds from Kinmen County Government, and contributions from the Lienyu Township Office. The most eye-catching feature in the park is a towering Matsu stone statue, which can be considered a new landmark for Luocuo. This Matsu statue is made of white granite and stands 9 meters tall, with a three-tiered base: the first tier is an 8-sided shape with a height of 1.28 meters, the second tier is a stone-carved depiction with a height of 1.05 meters, and the third tier is a granite sculpture with a height of 0.90 meters, giving a total height including the base of 12.23 meters.
