Luo Cui Mazu Park Introduction

Luocuo Fishing Harbor is the only fishing port in Little Kinmen, serving as the gateway for fishermen to venture out to sea. It is also a docking port for transportation boats between Big and Little Kinmen as well as coast guard patrol vessels. The entire harbor area features children's play equipment, and the activity center building serves as the office for the fishing association and a center for agricultural and fishery specialties of Little Kinmen. The "Mazu" enshrined in the Luocuo Xihu Temple is the guardian deity of fishermen, and the Mazu stone sculpture standing next to the ancient temple has become a new landmark of Luocuo Fishing Harbor, blessing and guiding the navigation of vessels. Luocuo Mazu Park is located near Jiugong Wharf, situated at the high point of the back mountain of Luocuo, offering an excellent view overlooking Luocuo Fishing Harbor and the beach of Donglin Binhai Park in Lieyu. The park was built with funding from the Fujian Provincial Government, Kinmen County Government, and Lieyu Township Office. The most eye-catching feature in the park is a towering Mazu stone statue, considered the new landmark of Luocuo. This Mazu statue is made of white granite, stands 9 meters tall, and has a three-tiered base. The first tier is an 8-gua shape with a height of 1.28 meters, the second tier is a shadow carving of green stone with a height of 1.05 meters, and the third tier is a granite carving with a height of 0.90 meters, bringing the total height including the base to 12.23 meters.
